Question about 1997 Volkswagen Golf

I have a 1997 V W golf and it does not have current in the coil. I already replaced the coil. Any sugestions?

Power to the coil is transmitted through an ignition module, called a power output stage. If you have powern there and none to the coil that's your problem.

If you have power and a pulsing crank sinal at the power output stage and no spark replace the out put stage. If no pulse replace crank sensor.Good Luck.

I need a diagram of a MacPherson Strut please


There are only 3 pieces associated with a McPherson Strut. The top cap, the strut and the coil spring. You'll need a set of spring compressors to replace the coil spring. Otherwise its plug and play.

Sounds like censor issues. Have diagnostics run on the vehicle to find the culprit.

Your pickup is on the bottom of your distributer under the cap. It looks kind of like a star. You will have to remove you cap, rotor and module to replace it.
