Question about 1998 Mazda Millenia

2 Answers

I have a 98 millenia with front end problems. It makes popping noises while driving on rough roads and some smooth roads. It sounds like the front end about to come out of it. I've already changed the left side cv joint and the right side is good, what could wrong with it.

Have your stabilizer bushes checked. Had the same problem awhile back and it literally drove me crazy. But after replacing all the bushes the noise went away.

Sounds as though the rubber bushings (there are two of them L/R side on the stabilizer bar) could be the issue. When the bushing are loose they allow the stabilizer bar to bump against the steering or rack and pinon.

Hi most of the time would be a ball joint on lower control arms and tie rod ends are worn out. When you drive in to the hole on the road your wheel drops down and on its way up make this noise. This is worn ball joint. Problems with over and under steering would be worn out tie rod ends

Thumping/Banging noise at the front end.

check front-end out, immediately, could be a bad bushing/ control arm, this would need attention, asap, you could lose control of vehicle, or somethingelse is broken, shock, but the control arm / bushing is my bet. get it repaired, unsafe condition !!!

The bushings to the front suspension are completely worn out. They must be replaced before the shock damage your other suspension parts.

Problem with my car " Toyota Corolla X - 2004

Do you hear the sound on a sharper sharp front, then stop, sharper reverse speed on a smooth road? Mine VW Jetta 84 does it, and it is caused by loose bolts (old rusty nuts can't tight), so that the whole front beam is loose. Hardly could be this on a 5-year car, but I have heard worse things for even newer, just the quality nowadays... If this is the reason, it is extremely dangerous, don't go past 50-60 km/h until you know the reason.
