my 2003 Ford Focus has a new alternator and over size new battery- The alternator light remains on. At idle, the alternator is receiving 14.35 volts- yet the alternator light remains on. I never have a problem with the car starting and at night when I am driving the car, the headlights never go dim. All electrical items work properly.

Try scanning your vehicle and see what does it tell you...if no code is retrieved try checking for open circuits. you can do all this with a snap on or mac scanner.
if yoiu get any code either you can do some research or post it here so i can look it up.

Turn key, no start, dash dead, but intermittent symptons

First I would look for voltage drop of both end of battery terminal.not a look or seem tight . you have to do it (voltage drop) and terminal at alternator.
now does alternator charging. take voltage of battery
if the problem occur have voltage of battery taken
like I read your problem it looks like wiring terminal ground and positive
the noise you hear is probably low voltage to a relay and the dropping voltage make the relay switch inside relay cycling noise click or buzz

2006 citroen relay indicators have stopped working and now getting "batt" flashing any ideas ?

The battery light flashing is an indication of an intermittent short. The intermittancy seems to be caused by a "hung" relay or a partially welded relay that is not releasing its contacts. Try going to the relay and fuse box under the hood and pulling one relay at a time to see if the observed action stops. If it does, replace the faulty relay. If not go to the fuse box under the dashboard and do the saqme thing!

I have a 2000 chry town and country the batt light came on the other day ignored it. now tonight when driving it the whole car shut down got a jump then it died again down the road. i jumped car agian...

wow if your battery is that old i would get a different one but you can have the battery and alternator tested for free at a auto parts store they can tell you if its junk or not but thats why your having them problems when your alternater spins it charges the battery if the battery is no good it wont hold a charge and you car will die now it the alternater is bad it will not keep the battery charged and your car will die.

I tried to start my 94Sunbird-I heard clicking for a few seconds & then nothing. Battery is good & it couldn't be jump started. How can I find out if it's the starter or something else? help?

one easy way is to have someone hold key in crank ing position, then another person needs to hit or tap the starer housing itself.if engine begins to crank intermittently or ur cliking noise turns into small jolts of the starter trying to crank then u can bet its the strtr motor. u do need a charged batt for this test. also chek ur battery grounds they can dramatically affect starter operation if we have a voltage drop anywhere in starter circuit .chek batt cables r tight on batt posts, loose batt cables on battery will also give u clicking noise w no starter operation

Windshield Wipers on 2007 Altima Quit on High

It might be either switch itself or wiper relay.
Ufortunatly I don't know location of the relay.
You can actually find relay by noise , put the switch on intermittent position and see where the cliking coming from.

97 Saturn/ Battery goes dead every 3 months. You hear aclick, click sometimes andthen it will start.

the click is probably the fuel pump coming on and as far as the battery you may have a bad alternator

I was told my radiator fan relay was bad. where is this located?

Open the hood. You see the battery on the passenger side. Right behind the batt is a black box with all main relay's. Open the box, inside you find a description for each relay at this place. Change the one you're told you need to change it.

Battery indicator switching off and on and running lights with it

Your alternater is boarding a plane out of town. Actually it's the regulator built into the alt. Have your battery and alternator both tested. High charging voltage can burn up yor battery and lights. Here it is in a nutshell. The lower the voltage the higher the charging amps. At 15 volts the alternater is not charging the battery but simply pouring out voltage.. Have your battery load tested because it tell the alt wat to do, Have the alternater test to see if it has a comprehension problem. IFirst, make sure your batt cables are clean and tight.. Especially the negative cable.Good luck

The battery may not have been your problem it may be that the altenator is not keeping it charges allowing the battery to run down have it checked most auto parts stores will do it for free
