Question about 2007 GMC Sierra 2500HD
Removal & Installation On gasoline engines, the fuel filter is integral with the fuel pump/sender assembly in the fuel tank.

The fuel filter will be located usually on the driver side, behind the rear tire, tucked up under the frame near the fuel tank. You cannot miss it - there will be two threaded lines - and will be held on with a bracket. Make sure that when you remove this - do not loosen the bracket until the fuel lines from both ends are off. You may need a line wrench (best), but a regular open end wrench will do if you do not have line wrenches. When installing the new filter, you should see an arrow on one side - this indicates the flow of the fuel, which should go toward the front of the truck. The arrow will point to the front of the truck. If this is not put on correctly you will not have proper fuel intake, and will have starting and operating issues, if the truck even starts.
