Do a 2010 Jeep Liberty Have a Automatic transmission dip stick?

Alot of the newer vehicles have maintenance free transmisions so they dont have dip sticks. And if it is maintenance free it will tell you under the hood.

Where do I check the transmission fluid?

Since you didn't tell us what kind of car you want to check, we'll give a general answer: Under the hood you'll look for a yellow handle marked transmission. This is a dip stick just like the one for oil .With the engine running in park pull out the dip stick, wipe it off with a rag. Put it back in and pull it out again to read the markings on the end of the dipstick. Add the amount indicated. NEVER overfill the transmission.

What can cause my car not to go into gear after the car is warmed up?

Check The Transmission Fluid, Is It Low? Check At Operating Temperature, Is The Fluid In The Cross Hatched Area Of The Dip Stick? Is It Touching The Dip Stick? If It Is Not On The Dip Stick It May Just Be Low, Or, After You Add Fluid To Top It Off (Get It In The Cross Hatched Area Of The Dip Stick) And It Still Will Not Go Into Gear Or Move The Vehicle Normally, The Clutches May Be Smoked (Shot, Ruined) Have An Experienced Transmission Mechanic Look At It To Tell For Sure. If You Could Get It To A Trans. Shop By Trailer, They May Take A Quick Look & Tell You If There Is Any Hope. Hope This Helps.

Hi: To Refill your Auto Transmission with Tranny Fluid, There is NO CAP, Look For a Dip Stick Similar to your Oil Dip Stick. You Refill your Transmission where the Transmission Dip Stick comes out of a Tube. You'll Need a Funnel that Fits inside the Transmission Dip Stick Tube. This Should Resolve your Question. Please Vote and That actually sends me How Well I have Helped You. Where do I put transmission oil in 88 toy camry

If its a Automatic i presume it is, Locate the Dip Stick for your Transmission.Once located pull the Dip Stick Out wipe it off ,And toward and on the Bottom of the Dip Stick you need to Read it. It will shopw a mark (FULL) and it may tell you to Check when its Hot.If so go on a Short Drive come Back Pull the Dip stick out and if its below the Full mark ,Just buy a Funnel to fit the Small Hole the Dip Stick was It and Add a Little at a Time until it Reaches the Full Mark.(DONT OVER FILL IT) and Check to Make sure you put the Right Type of Fluid in. Could you tell me where to put the transmission fluid in a 1988 honda accord dx. I can't seem too find it.

If there is a dip stick to show you the level of the fluid in the transmission, the transmission fluid is added through the dip stick tube. With the dip stick out, place a funnel in the tube opening and pour the fluid into the funnel.

Where do I add transmission fluid for my 1999 Suzuki Grand Vitari?

You'll have two dip sticks under your hood on the engine. One will be for oil the other for tansmission fluid. You can tell you have the transmission because the fluid is a bright redish color where as the oil should be clearish or black, Denpending on your last oil change. The dip sticks are usually on opisit sides or the engine from eachother but could be on the same side. To check your transmission fluid then you need the emergency brake on and the car in neutral and the motor running. On the dip stick there is notches or tiny lines telling you how much is in it. Here;s a very important point to remember. Transmissipon fluid is checked and measured by pints unlike the oil dip stick which is in quarts. So the marks on the dip stick for the tranny will be one pint per mark. To add transmission fluid they sell a skinny long tube funnel that goes directly into the stem that holds the dip stick. You must shut the engine off to add the fluid and restart it in neutral to recheck it. I hope I have been of some service to you and please be kind with your thumbs up for me. good Luck, Raz

Where is the trasmission oil located?

The transmission oil is located in the transmission. If you are looking for the dip stick, its on the engine and its written on the top of the stick. Do not mistake the oil dip for the transmission dip stick. It sounds as if you need someone to show it to you. Go to your nearest car parts and they will gladly show you the dip stick. I hope this was helpful.

How to check transmission fluid and fill if nessesary.

if it is an automatic transmission, the dip stick is under the hood and should be on the drivers side of the engine, start the car leave it in park, pull the dip stick out and wipe it off with a cloth, reinstall the dip stick in the filler tube completely, and remove again and notice where the fluid level is on the dip stick,if you need to add fluid to bring it up to full, the correct fluid for your car is printed on the dip stick, you need a transmission funnel and put in in the tube you pulled the dip stick out of.
if you transmission is a standard, there is a 5/8 bolt on the side of the transmission you remove and put something like a screw driver in the hole to see where the fluid level is,.
