In my aztek the blower just blows into the driver and passanger side, i am not able to change the direction the air is blowing. I have replaced the ac heater control and still having the same problem

the actuator that sends the air up or down is unplugged or broken. it is located on the ductwork behind the dashboard in the very bowels of the whole system. perhaps you can see it if you remove the radio and the ac control panel

AC fan is not working but the compressor is still working.

Could be fan relay or fan motor itself. If you look at a manual for the Aztek, they will clarify which terminals to check with an ohmmeter to check for an open in the motor connection and unplugged harness for power distribution wires for voltage.

Aztek 01 headlights going out.

Check for moister in the lamp head, and have the alternator checked,it should be from 13.65,to 14.25,volts only, any more, that will be the problem, also,if the alternator checks out ,with in range, have a mechanic check the alternator for ac voltage,if the alternator diode,or diodes, have gone out,it will produce some ac voltage, therefore blowing lamps, and eventually ignition components, and e c m.

2001 Aztek; ac stopped blowing cold, was working fine earlier in the day. I tried to open the liftgate with the key, lock won't release. tried using the release switch from inside the vehicle, but it is...

these vehilces had BCM problems.
The issues may or may not be related.
You have to take to a dealer or larger independent for repair if it is the BCM, it must be set up with a GM computer, and theft system needs to be programed.
If this is the problem.
