Question about 1993 Dodge Ram 250
You have a BAD GROUND wire that is loose and needs attention i would start with a voltmeter and check at the fuse box to see if it is getting power it should have power all the time then i would work my way out outward also see if the switch is out check it with a voltmeter where you turn lights on off dash or whereever it is but it sounds like bad ground i bet the switch is not grounded test it splice the switch wire and ground it to the chassis see if they come on if do then the ground is bad also check make sure switch itself is functioning correctly should be 12 volts power all way with lights hope this helps
