Why will not the fuel injectors open on a 2002 Saturn l-100? The fuel rail has correct fuel pressure. The injectors will open when I give them a 12 volt supply in my shop.

AT THE INJECTOR CONECTOR YOU NEED 12 VOLTS KEY ON AND THE OTHER IS THE NEGATIVE PULSE SIGNAL CAME FROM ECU BUT YOU ALSO HAVE A CRANKSHAFT POSITION SENSOR AND CAMSHAFT POSITION SENSOR MAY BE BAD

Fuel problems

First start with the basics check fuses relating to fuel and or injectors make sure there is voltage next look into your crank sensor usually if it fails the computer doesn't know you are trying to start the vehicle because the signal the sensor is supposed to give out to the computer is not there due to a faulty sensor once the computer senses the signal from the crank sensor then the computer will send a command to the injectors to start pulsating gas let me know how this turns out for you.

Jaguar xj sport 3.2 no spark or injector pulse

If ECU has crank signal and engine turns over, ECU should give injectors a pulse and trigger the ignition. If not ECU might be bad. You should check power and grounds going to ECU. There are usually multiple power and grounds going into ECU

Van started to run rough, then shut off. Will not start. Replaced fuel pump and crankshaft sensor. Tested coil spark - good. Tested plug wire spark - good. What is next?

You need to know if you have fuel pressure at the injectors and if the injectors are opening. I would check for voltage at the injectors and a ground signal from the PCM after checking for fuel pressure.

My 1993 GMC Sierra Z71 will not start. We changed the fuel pump, the throttle pressure regulator, fuel filter, and fuel pump relay. The pump gets gas to the injectors but from there it does nothing and goes...

Hi, that's possible but first check the ECM fuse and use a test light to check for power to the injectors on the red and white wires. The computer uses a number of sensor inputs to calculate the injector signals required. If these signals are not available, the computer cannot send the appropriate injection metering signal and will usually set the engine light. Is the engine light on?

The fuel injectors aren't opening. we have power to them and the crankshaft sensor and camshft sensor have been replaced. What tells the injectors to open? fuel pump is putting out 40psi at the fuel rail.

the computer gives the injector a signal to open and close check the plug to a injector 1 wire should have 12 volts all the time with key on and 1 should pulse a ground on and off when the engine is cranking over

Kia has fuel from pump to the injectors but won't run, I put fuel in intake ,motor will run till fuel is gone. Help

most times is the camshaft position sensor he is the one that gives the signal to the ecu so it knows when the intake valve is going to open so it fires the injectors, look for the sensor and check the connector or inspect too see if its doing its work ( signal to the ecu)

Fuel injectors

There is a module to control the injector valve o and off. If it doesn't give a signal to turn on the injectors then injector is not working. The electrical connector from your injector is where the signal from the module going in.

No fuel to injectors....

Your injectors are controlled by electrical pulse. Even having fuel pumping to the injectors, if they are not opened, fuel is not sprayed into the cylinders for combustion.
You can find NOID at any auto part store to hook up to the connectors of the plug going into the Injector plugs ( like attache image) to check if there is signal from Injector module control or not.

1-When you crank the engine, the NOID will flash indicating you have signal, but your injector is bad. This is a problem.Need to check every one.
2- If NOID is not flashing then you don't have signal from Injector Control module. This is a problem. Good luck in finding.4b5c5a7.jpg

No signal to injectors, need to know what gives the signal

if voltage is on both sides of the injector your computer is bad if only on one side try a crankshaft position sensor its very common with these cars.
