Chevy 2002 2500 series, 4x4 will not engage, when shifted into 4wd a kind of grinding noise comes from the front like gears are not meshing.

No hubs on 2002 Chevy 2500. I'd check the front axle actuator (engages front axle when 4WD is engaged). Belive it's on the passage side axle tube of front differential. Could be wrong, but that's what it sounds like. Or the front ring/pinion is shot. They don't turn when not in 4wd.

How to change the front differential on my 2004 Dodge Ram 1500 4 wheel drive.

Unless you are a seasoned mechanic with a lot of tools and a lift, take it to the shop. This swap is like a caesarian section on your truck. All kinds of things have to come loose, like axle shafts and crossmembers and hubs and such. Not something to learn how to do.

Axle code gxm g2181

If you would like a good answer for that, it would be really helpful to at least know what kind of vehicle you are talking about. ("1 ton" is WAY not enough information) On some vehicles, there is an axle code included on the Vehicle Certification lable inside the driver's door. Also, for most vehicles built in the last 15 years or so, you can call the dealership and give them your VIN and they can look up which axle the vehicle was originally equipped with.

Rear wheel bearings are shot. How do I pull the shaft out?

You'll have to take the back cover off the rear end and drain off the gear lube. Inside you'll see the ring gear and in front is the pinion gear. Inside the housing of the ring gear you'll see small spider gears. These spider gears run on a gear that is on the end of the axle. The end of the axle will have a C-clip or some kind of retainer. When you get the retaining divice out and the bolts out that hold the bearing housing on the vacuum plate, the bearing and axle should pull out.

Front axle not fully engaging and makes really loud noise when this happens which in turn ruins a gear in front axle have replaced cable, gear and now am being told vacuum switch transfer case needs...

Its sounds **** you are haveing a problem with the vacuum actuator that moves the gear in and out of 4 wheel drive mode. Its located under the battery tray. You need to remove the battery and the tray then its easy to serivce its a diaifram and if it isn't holding vacuum eighter its bad or you have some kind of a vacuum leak leading to it If you can fix it now your gear should be ok just don't let this go to long it could lead to some expensive repairs It cuuld also be the vacuum actuator at the transfer case but this sounds like you are haveing someone do this work for you. Iwould ask them why they didn't fix the problem correctly in the first place thats what you pay them for and it sure sounds like they misdiagnosed the problem in the first place

Escalade gear oil

Depending on which front axle, "F" axle is GM part #12378261 75W90 Synthetic gear oil, must meet GM spec 9986115
"S" axle is 80W90 gear oil GL-5 spec. I dont know how to tell you to ID which axle you have so I would recommend using Synthetic oil for both front and rear axles.
The rear axle is same as the "F" axle lube as above.

Where to put the rear axle oil in and what kind of oil?

the rear axle takes 85-140 gear oil if you have limited slip you have to also add a friction modifier to it. you have to fill it from the level check plug about halfway up either on the differential cover or on the front of the third member depending on the axle that you have

Cant get rear axles out

IT SHOULD HAVE THE C-CLIPS HOLDING THE AXLE IN. WITH THE REAR AXLE COVER REMOVED YOU SHOULD SEE THE END OF THE AXLES. THE WAY TO REMOVE THE AXLE C CLIPS IS BY REMOVING THE SPIDER GEAR (PINNION GEARS) THROUGH SHAFT. AFTER THE SHAFT HAS BEEN REMOVED, THE AXLES WILL BE FREE TO PUSH INWARD AND THIS WILL ALLOW YOU TO REMOVE THE C CLIPS FROM THE END OF THE AXLE AT THE AXLE GEARS. YOU CAN ALSO GET AN IDEA IF THIS IS THE TYPE AXLE LOCK YOU HAVE BY JACKING UP THE VEHICLE AND PUSHING THE AXLE IN AND OUT. THIS TYPE AXLE HAS RIGHT MUCH END PLAY. IF THE COVER IS OFF THE AXLE HOUSING YOU WILL SEE THE END OF THE AXLE MOVE IN AND OUT.

1997 Mazda 626 automatic transmission failed

It really sounds like something failed. However before you go any further - check the fluid level and condition. You could have developed a leak, running out of fluid will do that. But if you find the fluid full and brown/burnt, and smelling burnt, Your trans needs major work. Also check your drive axles. Have someone put it in gear (with their foot on the brake) and visually inspect to see if one axle is turning (which would mean a CV joint broke) that should make some kind of noise though.

your kind of screwed because that is your spider gear pin. you will need to remove the differential unit and install the pin but probably need to replace the bolt that is supposed to hold that pin in place.
