the speedometer works intermitting, the turn sigals cycle fast sometimes (no blown bulbs), and the radio volume will go up or down uncommanded

  • Daniel Berry Sep 14, 2010

ok heres the thing you have a loose wire in the eithor the radio or the dash and it stinks but only way to fix this is to pull the radio out and check every single wire make sure not loose grounding out then do the speedometer same way but it is definitly a loose wire and by you saying the speedometer works intermitting this problably means the problem is the power wire to the speedometer is loose and that wouild cause both problems take off whole speedometer assembely check the wires its a long process but only way to fix it use a voltmeter each wire should be getting 12 volts

HAVE A 2000 HYUNDAI ELANTRA ALL BUT THE DRIVERS SIDE WINDOW WILL NOT GO UP HOW CAN I FIX THAT

You first have to determine if the problem is being caused by an electrical problem or a mechanical problem. To do this, the electrical circuits to the window must be tested or use other clues such as the window motor making noise when the button is pushed to eliminate the electrical circuit. If the electrical circuit is working, then the problem is mechanical and the door will have to be disassembled to find the exact cause (most likely a bad motor or broken window regulator).

Electric windows failing have changed fuse but only works a short time

Obviously, it's an electrical problem. Electrical problems are many, yet they elude us when determing the CAUSE. You describe an INTERMITTENT OVERLOAD on the circuit... the challenge here is to determine WHICH circuit!

If you're not an electrician, then let an ELECTRICIAN troubleshoot it.

I, as an ELECTRICIAN, could teach you what you need to know to troubleshoot/diagnose electrical issues like this. However, this is not the forum for it. Have an electrician diagnose it. BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE.

B200, 2006 cvt trany, starter doe,s not crank at all every once in a while, battery ok, connections et ground ok. the scanner tell,s us starter is defect. I dont have a wiring diagram so i have to figure...

You can electrical supply directly from plus battery to electrical starter solenoid.
For that you must prepar an electrical wire. One end connected at the electrical starter solenoid, and another end directly on plus battery. If electrical starter crancks the problem is on electrical supply. If doesn't cranks then electrical starter
is out of order and must be removed from engine and repaired! The most frequent problem of electric starters are carbon brushes used!
Did you try this operation?

Max AC not working, driver window intermittent, normal AC erratic

Sounds like your having problems with a couple of relays. When you say that battery leaked do you mean out the top of the battery as that sounds like the alternator is over charging the battery and maybe the root cause of your electrical problems.

Oxygen sensor keeps going bad, Mechanic says that number 4 cylinder is causing the problem.

It could be the problem or he just wants to make a lot if money. I had a similar problem and it turned out to be electrical. I had another component out that caused an abnormal electrical condition, it could be happening to you. Check to make sure the sensor is within it electrical limits, (volts, amps, and ohms) and then refer to your vehicles electrical schematic to find relative components within the system. Don't go rippin into you motor, yanking off the heads, until you eliminate the problem as being electrical. get a good multimeter and remember, its only a 12v system. good luck
