Depending on how many kilometers are on it? You might want to get another opinion or consider replacing the whole engine as it would probably not cost that much more and if the camshaft is worn out then the rest of the engine won't be far behind.

Timing belt marks 2001 lanos 1.6 liter

The camshaft sprockets have an indention on them you will align them to the inside horizontally so they are side by side. The crankshaft sproket also has a timing mark on it and you will align that with the timing mark on the rear timing belt cover vertically. The tensioner aligns with with the notch on the automatic tensioner bracket. Hope this helps you.

Locating camshaft positioning sensor on 2000 Daewoo Laganza

hi,
it is under the upper timing belt cover between the camshaft gears. According to the manual touching anything related to timing belt requires removing million parts including right front wheel. I suspect this might be an overkill just to remove upper timing belt cover.

So my advice would be to get it done by some mechanic as u will not be able to do it and may damage other parts also.

Thanks!
Sandy
