    Dear FixYA,

I have a volvo S80, 2003, with a message on the computer stating, "Buld failure dipped bream". The mechanics have tried to change the light bulbs and the light bulbs supposedly are fine. Can you please tell me what the problem is?

    Kind regards,

    Tonci

First, check the head light fuse. Second, check the connection to the headlights to make sure that they are tight. If they are secure, remove them both and replace them with new ones. If that fails, check the battery and alternator.

loop the main beam to the second light simple ,find the feed with a meter when the main beam is on ,simple to do but be warned here ---make sure the light has a certificate of homoglonation and a E number in the headlight glass or you could face a big fine for unauthorised modification of a motor vehicle ,also this sort of work can only be signed off by a authorised garage with a Value Added Tax certificate and a inspection to change the cars papers at the local car testing station ,or dont drive in spain as they will impound the vehicle

2001 grand caravan low beam light not working. i chang bulb already i check fuse already.

Hi Every single time I have had a failure of low beam in a headlight without failure of high beam, it has been because the lamp bulb or halogen lamp module has reached the end of its serviceable life, not because of any wiring problems. Low beam burns out first because it is on the most. If low beam is lost simultaneously in both headlights, I would check fuse first, then the headlight switch. If low beam is lost on one side only, it is almost always going to be due to the bulb or lamp module needing to be replaced. In that case, replace them in both headlights because the other one will be going kaput in short order, as well. Also if you already replaced the fuse and bulb check the headlight dimmer control switch.
Thanks for using Fixya.

No dipped beam headlights on audi a4 1,9td 2003

Check up dipped beam headlights fuse inside fuse box. For Audi A4 the fuse box is located on the left side of dashboard behind a plastic cover (for left hand steering wheel vehicle). On inner face of the plastic cover you will find the fuse diagram. If the dipped beam headlights fuse is OK, check up dipped beam headlights bulbs.

Headlights

It May not be your fuse. The headlight unit uses one bulb for dipped headlights and another for main beam. On your fuse panel cover should be a sticker with symbols on relating to which fuse has which purpose

Suzuki swift Headlight problem

Have you checked to see if this is a wiring problem or maybe a relay problem?

Recently my lights would work on side lights and not anything else and this was down to dodgy wiring and needed a new relay unit.
