Question about 2005 Hyundai Tiburon

1 Answer

On my 2005 Hyundai Tiburon SE V6 I loose A/C connection on the panel, especially on 3 and 4. So as I'm driving the I can feel the A/C turning off and on, the lights begin to flicker, which affects my engines performance while driving. When I had the problem a few years back and I took it back to the dealer and had the panel replaced(thats what they came across to be the problem). After awhile it did it again but I never took it back and just neglected the problem. So I decided to get it fixed like 2 years ago, again the dealer said it was the panel which I disagreed with. Again, the panel was replaced, a day later, again the same thing occurred. So I took it back, now they said its something else thats electrical. So they did some electrical work and it began working properly again. After a few days, the problem returned but I couldn't take the car back since the dealer closed down due to the recession. Now I'm stuck with this issue. I'm starting to think that all of their panels are just defective. Anyone know what exactly this could be? I found on many blogs that many hyundai drivers have had this issue.

The problem isn't the panel. I had the same issue and after some troubleshooting I discovered what it was. The fan switch itself is your problem. The connections inside it get worn down and will no longer make a good connection to the AC circuit. Replacing it is simple. Remove the console cover and the HVAC unit will come with it. Remove the fan speed selector. Remove the screw holding the fan speed switch to the HVAC plate. Twist the switch out and replace. The switch unit is only $36 from a Hyundai dealership and possibly cheaper at a parts store.

My 2003 Hyundai tiburon gt v6 (automatic) idles at 500 rpm in drive after warmed up is this normal? It's not throwing codes it just feels like it's shaking a bit

500 is too low for and automatic in drive
normal idle is 850-900 and should not drop below 800 in drive as the ECM should be adjusting for the drive load when in gear
take it in to an accredited service shop that works on your make of vehicle and have the problem diagnosed properly and quote

Firing order for a 2005 Hyundai Tuscon 2.7 V6

The Tiburon V6 2.7L is nearly the same engine with the same engine placement as the Tucson 2005 V6. The spark plugs should line up accordingly. I have had a problem with Cylinder 3 missing... and I replaced all of the spark plugs. Now I'm going to be checking the wires.

how does it break???? it must not be installed properly, what happened to the first one??? theres no reason one should break??? I think a qualified repair shop should look at it and determine what is wrong before you spend any more money on a TPS.
