Check relay is relay box under hoor. Relay should click when you turn light switch on. If no click, pull relay out and get a new one.

Good thinking on switching the relays. Do you have a test light? You can get one cheap at parts store. Connect the clip to a ground point on engine or battery and poke the point into each terminal where the relay goes. There sould be one hot terminal when the switch is off. With the switch all the way on, there should be a second hot terminal from the switch. If not, either your light switch is bad or the wire from the lights switch to the relay box.

I have a Mercedes E420 1997. I am having tail light issues, all the lights work turn sig., brake, back up, but no tail lights. I have changed out both rear tail lights, bulbs, and checked all of the fuses....

Check for power with a test light(not a dvom) at the tail lamp assembly. Test right at the spot where the bulb socket sits. If you have power then i would check the connection tab on the bulb socket itself for pits or corroded tabs. If you do not have power present at test point then double check the fuse chart and see if it says 'electronic' instead of having a fuse amp rating for the tail lamps. If it says electronic for any of the light circuits then it means their is no external fuse that can be replaced and the problem is most likely internal of the headlight switch. Since the headlight switch is actually a power source for the lights. I would start there at this point. Let me know what you find and if you need anything else just let me know

High beam headlights don't work, changed the bulbs, and checked the fuses, help

This is going to be a problem with your light switch or dimmer switch. Replace the light switch and see if that resolves the issue.

Gulf plus 1.9tdi n/s headlight wont work but its not the bulb

If bulb is ok, check fuses and relay related to each sides. IF both lights went aout at same time headlight switch/lever could be problematic and if it is, you need a new switch.

2001 subaru outback headlight not working

chapmnfarm: your head lights use a "2" fuse system.
one for the left and one for the right.
The fuse box you are looking for is under the hood on the passenger's side. It is a black box roughly 8 inches long and 4-5 inches wide. When you remove the cover, you will see fuses and relays. What you are looking for is the section in the box which has a cluster of 7 fuses. 3 in one row and 4 in the other. On the outer parameter are two relays. The fuses you are interested in are located in the row of 4 fuses, with the two closest to the "L" shaped part of the box. Both of those should be 15 amp fuses.
The fuse below those should be a 20 amp which is the lighting switch and the one below it is a 15 amp which is for the interior lights and the clock.
Check your harness grounds in the engine compartment near the area you have the problem. There are ground wires which come out of the harness on both sides of the core support. The wires are black in color and have "EYES" crimped onto the ends of the wires. Both of them will probably be located about 4-6 inches below the upper tie bar on each side of the radiator. Odds are that the eyes will be large enough to pass a 6mm bolt through.
I hope what I have given you will resolve your problem. Lem me know,,good luck>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

Lt headlight wont work in low beam

could be bad bulb or while you were changing plug wires you disturbed the headlight wiring.check grounds, try moving the head light wires around to see if bad connection.if pass sides working it shouldnt be fuse or switches.
