Question about 1995 Honda Passport

1 Answer

1995 honda passport -- my master power window switch for the passenger side shorted out -- no problem it was broken plastic in the switch that caused it -- i replaced it and i assume it works, however i was not able to figure out how to put back the red button that allows passengers to be able to roll up and down their windows -- i was going to leave it out but then i realized that may end up leaving all windows unable to go up or down -- how can i put this back together properly? thanks

there are 2 springs -- one is miniscule, and i believe goes on the back of the switch, for what reason i am unsure -- and then a larger much more conventional looking spring, which is the one you are referring to -- it's a bit more complicated then just that large one, that's why i asked for assistance

Most probable cause , ,,, when you open & close the door, the wires in the rubber boot (accordian like) harness in between the door hinges, get cut and will cause alot if issues, without burning a fuse !

You can check at one of the self service parts yards such as You Pull-It.

Follow me here: The driver side passenger window will go up and down while operated independently with the switch on its door. However, the driver seat master switch will not control window to go down

Not following you completely.
When you say driver side passenger window, you mean the driver side rear window ?
The window motors get power thru a power window control unit and thru the driver master switch.
You'll need a shop manual with the wiring diagrams to track down the problem.

1995 Astro Van electric windows no power Is there

The problem will either be a faulty master window switch on the driver door, or a broken wire at the master window switch, or most likely the problem will be a broken wire inside of the weather boot that runs between the door and the body of the vehicle, and most likely it will be inside of the weather boot for the driver side door. If there is power going through the master window switch then look for a broken wire.

Here are two typical GM power window wiring diagrams to help assist you, and let me know if you require any further assistance.

2002 Honda Passport, drivers side window goes down but not up??

It would be a switch. Try pushing the switch down hard and wiggling it. It may work which would indicat a switch. Since one direction works It has to be the switch ,

1995 cutlass supreme passenger front power window won't go down. Master control from driver side works. Child lock is NOT on. Any ideas?

change out the window's drive motor, the teeth on the drive shaft have most likely broken off as they are plastic.

2 dr honda accord power window problem

I wouls suspect you have either a inoperative window regulator (the frame work for the power glass) or a bad power window motor. More often then not the are sold as a single assembly and are not very hard to replace on this vehice.
