If you have the Driver information Center then you just select engine life cycle and hold down set button, Otherwise You turn the igniton on, pump the pedal 3 times within 5 seconds, the change oil light should start flashing indicating it has been reset.

Turn key on - do not start. Pump gas pedal SLOWLY 3 times all the way to the floor. Do that within 5 seconds after turning on key. Turn key off. Wait 10 seconds and start engine. If change oil light still on repeat process.

The secret is to pump the gas pedal slowly. Take a good second for each stroke. I tried at least 10 times before I got it right.

Try this 1. With the ignition key in RUN but the engine off,
repeatedly push the tripheset button until OIL is
displayed on the Driver Information Center (DIC).
2. Once OIL is displayed, push and hold the tripheset
button for five seconds. The number will disappear
and be replaced by 100 (indicating 100% oil life
remaining).
3. Turn the key to OFF.

I Have a 2006 Pontiac G6 GT 3.5 V6.
The way I reset the Oil Life % was by turning the key to the on position, and I pumped the gas pedal 4 full times. As soon as I completed the 4th pump it went to 100%.
Hope this helps.

Oil Change Reset
A press of the OIL CHANGE RESET switch will allow you to
reset the oil life feature to 100% (or your Personalized Oil Reset
Percentage). After you have the oil changed, you must execute
the following procedure. Press the OIL CHANGE RESET switch
and hold for five seconds as the M/C counts down for five
seconds. After a successful reset the Message Center will display
“OIL LIFE RESET TO 100%.” If you have established a
Personalized Oil Reset Percentage, the display will show that
percentage instead of 100%. To ensure accurate oil life
indicators, perform this reset procedure only after an oil change.
Your Personalized Oil Reset Percentage allows you to establish a
smaller oil change interval than the manufacturer’s
recommended interval. To establish your Personalized Oil Reset
Percentage perform the following procedure:
1. Press and hold the OIL CHANGE RESET switch and press
the RESET switch while the display is still counting down
the 5 seconds to reset. The display will change to “START
OIL LIFE AT XXX%.”
2. Press the OIL CHANGE RESET switch until the displayed
percentage is the Personalized Oil Reset Percentage that you
desire. Your choices are 100%, 90%, 80%, 70%, 60%, 50%,
40% and 30%.
