Question about 1991 Dodge Ram 350
Oil presure dips to the bottom with red lights, when i'm driving it goes to the middle, but when it's in iddle it goes to the bottom of the gauge with red lights........what would cause this? and how would i fix it?
First you want to check to see if there is the correct amount of oil in the engine. then you need to check to see if the oil is getting to the top of the motor. you can do this by looking into the valve cover from the oil filler or the vent. If your not getting oil to the top of the motor you need to replace the oil pump. if you do have oil in the motor and its getting to the top of the motor then you need to check the oil sending unit wire if its good and tight then I would replace the sending unit.
