Your car should have different shocks from most cars, with the magnetic, electrical charge viscosity change. Be sure that the shocks are actually not functioning correctly.

THE TOP MOUNTS FOR THE SHOCKS ARE HIDDEN BENEATH THE REAR SEAT TRIM PANELS BETWEEN THE SECOND AND THIRD SEATS. REMOVE THE "AIRBAG" EMBLEM AT THE TOP OF THE C PILLARS. REMOVE THE THE SCREW OUT OF THERE. REMOVE THE LOWER DOOR TRIM WHERE IT COVERS THE CARPET ON THE DOOR THRESHOLD. CAREFULLY PRY THE TOP TRIM AWAY FROM THE WINDOW. ALL OF THE TRIM PIECES ARE SNAP IN OR PRESS FIT EXCEPT FOR THE SCREW BEHIND THE "AIRBAG" EMBLEM. THEN YOU CAN REMOVE THE LOWER TRIM AWAY FROM THE SIDE PANEL ENOUGH TO GET TO THE NUTS. IF YOU MOVE THE INSULATION, YOU CAN SEE THE TOP NUTS OF THE SHOCKS AND GET TO THEM WITH A U JOINT ON AN EXTENSION ROD FOR YOUR SOCKET. THE LOWER MOUNT IS ONE BOLT THROUGH THE A ARM. REMOVE THE BOLT FROM THE FRONT OF THE THE TRUCK. THE BACK NUT IS WELDED ON. THE SHOCK WILL DROP RIGHT OUT. PUT THE NEW ONE UP IN THERE ALIGNING THE UPPER MOUNTING HOLES. YOU CAN PRY THE SHOCK INTO PLACE AND PUT THE BOLT BACK IN THE LOWER MOUNT. THEN REPLACE THE NUTS ON THE TOP MOUNT AND SNAP ALL OF THE TRIM PANELS BACK INTO PLACE. IT TOOK ME ABOUT 2 HOURS TO DO BOTH SIDES WITH HAND TOOLS IN MY DRIVEWAY JUST JACKING UP THE FRAME. DONT JACK UP THE WHEEL OR YOU WILL NEVER GET THE SHOCK TO COMPRESS ENOUGH TO GO IN.
ONE OTHER THING, ON THE PASSENGER SIDE THERE IS A HIDDEN SCREW THAT ATTACHES THE LOWER PART OF THE HAND GRIP OF THE TRIM TO THE METAL OF THE TRUCK. YOU CAN GET TO THAT BY TAKING OUT THE CUP HOLDER AND REACHING IN. IT IS A BEAR BUT IT HAS TO BE DONE TO GET THE TRIM AWAY FAR ENOUGH TO GET TO THE SHOCK NUTS.
GOOD LUCK.

If you are mechanically inclined it should not be too hard to replace your car's shocks. You just need to make sure you properly jack the car up for safety and have the right tools.

My mechanic installed new shocks on the rear of my 06 SRX that did not have the air bag. I now have a message on my display screen that limits my speed to 80. Do I have to install the right shocks or is...

Why did you not install the correct shocks.Cost is high, but its a Cadillac, they dont make them with cheap parts, if they did, it would be a chevy. I dont think there is a fix.

Replacing front turn signal bulb on 2006 Cadillac SRX

You must take the front wheel off, then remove the inner front fender panels (2), they are fastened with plastic pushbuttons. this exposses the light housings for the turn and fog lambs. This takes about an hour, but saves you alot of money.
