2007 dodge caliber breaks

2007 dodge caliber? I bought a 2007 dodge caliber about 3 month ago and have about 3000 miles on it. The problem is that my breaks have started to squeek, about the last few feet of my stop, is there any way to get rid of that or is that normal? I took it to the service department at dodge and they told me it was normal, did they like to me Additional Details - i was going to have them check the breaks but he said it was normal so i didnt (plus they were going to charge me for a break inspection can they do that)

Your problem are the corners of the brake shoes. What to do is take the drums off and use some sand paper to take the corners off of the shoes. Its kind of like finger nails on a chalkboard. When is say the corners I mean the ends of the shoes. Use some brake clean to clean up the dust after. I work at a Dodge dealership as a tech in service and see this often. Neon were known for this issue. Goodluck

They're telling you the truth, if they inspected your brakes and didn't find anything wrong, it is normal. I've seen this before...it's annoying, but normal--nature of the beast, brakes=friction=noise. Make sure you get a copy of the service invoice from your dealership that denotes that you brought it in and they inspected the brakes and didn't find anything wrong...it may be beneficial for you to keep these records. The warranty on your brakes is 12 months/12,000 miles -- NOT 36/36 like the rest of your factory warranty.

How many miles before my car to change oil

Every 6 months, or every 7,500 miles if you use your automobile for normal transpiration. If you do a lot of hauling, racing, or anything or drive a lot of miles on it. Then its suggested that you do it ever 3 months or 3,000 miles. what ever comes first.

When do i get transmission check for my 2007 dodge caliber

I would recommend it being changed around 40,000 miles. It is a tad early, but it never hurts. Have the filter changed as well.

Rear breaks on 2007 caliber

It's hammer time! Give it a few cracks around the face, 12:00 then 6:00 then 3:00 then 9:00. If it's not off by then your not hitting it hard enough.

Dodge caliber oil viscosity

no it will not cause any harm over the corse of 3000 miles. 5w30 is just a little thicker. 5 is the thickness when oil is cold. 20 or 30 is thickness when oil i hot, it will be ok just dont do any hotroding. only down part is that if the dealer finds out it will void the warranty.
