Check for power on the cables, air horns works with a small motor connected to a fan, check if the fan is turning if you have power on the cables . If no power on cables check horn fuse or wires.
My 1987 pickup has a broken horn too. I looked into it and think I know the reason. The steering wheel has a little pin that rubs up on a metal disk, and this pin and disk are what supply the battery voltage to the horn button on the steering wheel. I can see a small gap between the two. The pin appears to have been worn away just enough that it doesn't make contact anymore. If I shove a piece of metal into the gap my horn will work. I need to replace the pin.
neither do i honk anymore ,its known as old age and things go wrong ,so try checking for power to the horn first then go from their ,like no power to horn ?why not ,and if power to horn i? is the horn working
things to check. fuse, horn relay, horn button and then the horn itself. by pressing on the horn button with the car off you should hear a click everytime you press the button. that would be the relay working. if you hear this then either the horn itself is bad or disconnected.
This sounds like a bad horn relay or the horn pads is bad,i would start by disconnecting the horn pad, caution with airbag, but if you remove the steering wheel cover and dissconnect horn button wires and then drive if horn still blows then you havea bad relay, if it doesnt blow anymore then the pad is bad ,
there are 2 horn on your vehicle high and low
locate both horns on the front replace the one not working you will need an assistant to push it while you listen
