The amp meter can be installed in the section of the voltage rectifier/regulator. This is not needed in the present models as they were used when a DC Dynamo was used.
The Oil pressure guage can be used along with the oil pressure switch, use a T-connector of the same thread and connect both the oil switch and pressure guage to it.
If this is not available then you can get this fabricated with the same thread size for all the fittings

1986 dodge d100 225 engine dodge oil light goes off when idle stays on when giving it gas

It sounds like the oil sending unit is bad. the safest way to check it is to pull out the sending unit and install an oil pressure gage directly to the motor start it up, bring the RPMs up and see what the oil pressure is. Ideally you want at least 15 psi at an idle and prefereably anything above 25 psi at crusing RPM.

I have a 94 geo prism lsi and we fix the distubutor change fuel pump and relay, car starts but oil light comes on now. I unplug the something plug located just to the left of oil filter. light still c

The something plug is the oil pressure switch. You can use an ohm meter to make sure the switch is bad. With the engine off you should have continuity at the switch and with the engine running the switch should be open. Hope fully your problem is as easy as installing a new switch, if this does not fix your problem you will need to hook up a mechanical gauge as see what your actual oil pressure is.

I have a 1989 vw cabriolet.I was wondering how hard it is to install this oil pressure sensor.I was wondering if I had a shop do it how much in labor will it cost me.

Oil pressure sensors are generally easy to replace -unplug wire(s), unscrew & screw in new one. The trick is getting to it with simple tools. Most shops will get 2 hours labor to replace.

What would cause not geting any oil pessure

1: oil pressure sensor/wiring
2: blockage
3: pump
4: faulty gauge

Start with the easy and most likely suspects first.
Pull the sensor and check for proper operation and meter-check the wiring.
If the sensor checks out, pull the oil filter and mount at the block and check for blockages (replace filter).

The first two easy and obvious checks cover 70% of the low-to-no pressure problems.
