Looking at TopGears review of the two cars they preferred the RX8 over the 350Z. They thought Nissan was a bit on the heavy side and didn't perform as well as they had hoped. The RX8 on the other hand was a perfect mix between sportscar and a four seater.

There are very few cars that match up in comparison. The closest would be the Mazda RX-8 or the Chevrolet Corvette, but the RX-8 has been plagued by reliability problems and isn't as powerful. The Corvette costs more and is actually a slightly different animal. That leaves the 350Z to dominate the affordable sports car niche market.

It must be simple wiring issues. There is no relation between climate control and audio, other than both need electricity. Check the wire once.

Are there better coil packs for the mazda rx8 that are upgraded or high performance which would be better for my car.?

The revised Mazda coils are better and appearantly last longer. Part number N3H1-18-100B-9U. These are OEM on the later RX8's but will fit all models.

Cheapest for a set that of 4 that i can find is JP4mance.co.uk - RX8 ignition coils

Hope this helps?

Im curious about octane in fuel and what it does. I have a Nissan 350Z that requires 91 octane. Now if I were to put 94 or higher, would it improve performance or fuel efficiency at all or is it just a...

Octane is an added ingredient that burns more efficently than gasoline..use the 91 octane rating that your owner's manual specifies. Lower octane will degrade performance, higher than 91 is wasting money because it has more octane and is more expensive, but does not improve performance.

RX8 parts

there is nothing you can do to improve the performance of the 8. we have a shop down the street from us and they tried to turbo it and even supercharged one and believe it or not they made the car slower. Mazda has pulled as much as they can out of that engine, we have people that have put in k&n filters just to have to replace the mass air flow sensor because the oil from the filter damaged it.
