Question about 1997 Jeep Wrangler
Okay, headlights are nice and bright and battery is still fully charged, if theres no dash lights and doesnt start and you have replaced the ignition swith, this switch is the elctrical switch not the key part correct, then the onlt other thing i can think off that ive run into on these wranglers is a wiring harness that supplies power to ignition system, this wiring comes throught the firewall into cab at the center area of the dash there it has a connector that connects it together, the wires heat up and melt in the connector this is a main power wire in this harness that melts, this harness contains about 4 to 7 wires, hold the key in the crank postion and start moving wire harnesses around under the dash, you will need to look closely ther are not that many harness under that dash, it will be in the center and toward driverside. hope this helps.
