Question about 2007 Chevrolet Uplander LS Minivan

Good or bad?

I am considering a minivan purchase. The Chevy Uplander replaced the old Venture van. Is it a good choice for a van? How reliable are Chevy Uplanders? They are cheaper in price than both the Honda and Toyota, and seem more American looking than the ugly oriental looking Toyotas. but I have concerns buying American Made cars because of their poor reputation for reliability and quality. So... who should I trust for the best minivan?... Chevrolet Uplander, Honda Odyssey, or Toyota Sienna?

I own 2007 Uplander LS and it took my dealer over 2 years to figure it out and fix all minor but noisy annoying problems I had since I got it. The driving comfort and fuel economy is not bad for 6 cylinders. I think main problem with GM is very bad assembly quality and some parts made of very bad quality materials. Now may car is 2.5 years old and is out of warranty as I exceeded 60.000km and some new problems started, leak in the windshield line, fuses, bulbs, hopefully nothing more. We bought it because of the price as Toyota, Honda or Nissan were more expensive. I like Nissan Quest myself and it is great minivan but it was way more expensive than Uplander. I heard that Ford or Chrysler is much better choice than Uplander.

Its already out of production, that should tell you something, I drive a 2006 Uplander CARGO van with 107,000 miles it has electrical problems out the AZZ and rides like ****, lots of play in the front end, it eats front tires and will not hold an aligenment for more then 7000 miles...I have driven the van for the same company since it has had 20 miles on it, GM knows we cant afford down time on the van so they say "we cant reproduce the problem"and now that its out of warennty they offered us $3000 trade in on something else, but have no interest in buying it outright...Its a big mark down on a van that cost almost $21,000 less then 3 years ago.
F-GM, I hope they go bankrupt!

I am a big time chevy guy but I currently drive a dodge caravan. Even with most people telling me how many problems they have with there minivans- I have had mine for three yrs with no problems. My gas milage is great, my tranny shifts with no problems, and my kids fit confertable. I guess the only complaint I have is my dash is coming apart a little but I live in Tx and the weather is crazy. I guess I would have to give the caravan 2 thumbs up.

It's a terrible minivan. Read the reviews, they have all been bad. The only thing going for it was it's low price tage. Aside from that every other mini-van was superior in each and every way.

The power outlet under the cup holders

check these fuses:

under the hood fuse panel:

#23 - auxiliary power
#25 - ac/dc inverter

instrument panel fuse panel:

#29 - retained accessory power

if these fuses are good and they have power at the fuse panel, the outlet itself may be bad. if your inclined and you have a test light you can check to see if the outlet has power going to it by probing the wires on the back of the outlet if you can get to them. test the red and white wire for 12v positive and test the black wire for a good ground. if those wires test ok then it its the outlet itself that is bad. if the wires do not test ok then there is a break in a wire somewhere which will have to be traced and repaired
