Had a flat tire, reduced engine power light came on

Either the tire pressure monitoring system detected excessively low or zero tire pressure and the computer has been programmed to set the vehicle into limp mode when that happens or a wheel speed sensor or another sensor detected an issue when the tire deflated and the computer sent the vehicle into limp mode.

One way or the other, once in limp mode there would have been fault codes generated and could have be read with a scan tool. They have probably cleared now.

HOW TO RESET THE LOW TIRE LIGHT

sounds like a sensor problem. if all tires are correct on pressure, the light should have gone out. heres how to trouble shoot this problem,
1) Inflate all the tires to the recommended pressure
2) Turn IGN to RUN, but do not start engine.
3) Starting at the left front wheel, deflate the tire to 20-psi. Wait 2-mins. A fault should set once the tire reaches 20-psi or within 2-mins. If the fault sets, re-inflate the sensor and repeat the test sequence at each wheel until you find the wheel that does not properly set a fault warning.

1997 grand prix gtp. Tire pressure/abs light

Hello! This indicates a fault with the wheel speed sensor/ABS sensor. Any major auto parts retailer can pull the details of this code (which sensor) for free, which will help you identify if the wiring is loose or damaged or if the sensor will need to be replaced. If you need to replace the sensor - you will need to replace the entire wheel bearing assembly, as the sensor is internal.

Thanks for using FixYa!

Where is the tire sensor reset button on a 2008 Toyota Avalon

Firestone Hmmmmmm. Well the reset button is located just under the dash to the left of the steering column, hold for a few seconds and the light should go out. Hopefuly the firestone tech won't tell you your brakes need greasing the next time you go in for service, haha. Oh, I do beleive your tire pressure should be 29 psi. But, you can check your owners manual for correct pressures. It sould also tell you where the reset button is also. That should FixYa good luck.
