Question about 2003 Pontiac Aztek

I have 2 problems with my 2003 aztec. My AWD disable light stays on as does my anti lock break light. I have had the bearings checked a thorough brank inspection, brakes bled... there is absolutely nothing wrong with the brakes or bearings

How do i get info on any recalls on my 2004 pont aztec & how do i get in contact with somebody about anti-lock & awd problems

Hi! Matt, Most likely if the anti-lock brake light and the awd disable light come on at the same time a wheel bearing / wheel speed sensor assembly is faulty.Listen for a humming noise when driving and try to determine where it is coming from(left/right/front/ back) or any looseness/play in any wheel. That's the possible bearing/wheel speed sensor causing the problem. Or have the abs system scanned to determine which wheel sensor is reading incorrectly. If the awd disable light is off then the awd system should be funtioning.

The anti-lock light is on and it is causing the awd to disable what should I do?

If the ABS is causing the AWD to come on. Scan it and find out which wheel sensor/bearing is bad, replace it. This could happen. Most AWD lights are because the sensor/actuator in the rear axle assembly is bad. A high dollar part.

Awd disable light and anti lock light on

It could be a wheel bearing as the speed sensor for the abs is located in the bearing

The AWD disable light and Anti lock warning light is on

You will need to have your ABS system scanned. It is very common for the wires to break at the wheel speed sensors.

I have a 2004 Pontiac Aztek. The AWD Disable and Anti Lock lights are on and it doesn't want to accelerate? Anyone know or have had this problem?

The AWD Disable and Anti Lock lights can result from a bad wheel bearing as well as a bad speed sensor. They'll also come on if you have the spare tire on. Not sure if the acceleration problem is linked to the warning lights. Most car part stores have scanners they can check out the problem.
