My 1989 dodge d-150 will run fine at idle but u give gas it bogs down

Sounds like the fuel filter is clogged and when give gas particles block the fuel filter flow hole

i had a van do this same thing to a tee turned out to be a broken key pin in the harmonic balencer causing the timing to ****** replaced balencer and ran like a dream there is a crank sensor grid on the balencer when the key pin broke it trew the timing off

it could be trying too vapor lock try losing up the fuel cap if that helps then replace it vent holes are plugged up in it also check the fuel pressure regulator

make sure that the exhaust system is not restricted at one of the cat converters,either plugged or damaged.

Hi! Just a quick thought, I had a similar problem on a GM Astravan and the Catalytic Converter was totalled, I pushed a screwdiver through the inside and Bingo better than ever.
