HI, There is no valve lash spec for your Jeep they are non adjustable. You will just tighten the rocker arms down to 21ft. lbs. I usually do them in two steps 15ft lbs first then come back and finish at 21ft. lbs. This just gives the lifters a chance to collapse slower. Good luck and happy motoring.

Forgot 2 pull distribtor 98 Jeep Grand Cherokee 4.0 took heads off I put heads back on will it damaged anything if I start car

No. The distributor, is set with the crank. As long as you got the timing right. The worst I could see happening is the timing is off 180 degrees. Don't really see that happening. Should fire up.

sure , valve grind, vast ways to mess up.

are you taking the whole job or just the head job/?

head, pressure checked and warpage checked and corrected.

engine deck checked for warp, .002" max?

wrong head gasket,

china junk gaskets. from fleabay.

gasket upside down blocking oil holes.

reUsing TTY bolts, bad.

not checking compression first be fore first start

and then cold cranking it , no fuel pressure, to see if you have

top end oiling? if yes, its good, then kick the tires and light the fires.

Have a knock in my 2000 2.5 jeep cherokee just had the head rebuilt new lifters and pushrods can't ajust rockerarm it's torque to the right setting

I'm not sure where your knock is coming from, but If you rev your engine up and the knock becomes faster and louder you may have a bad rod bearing. If this is the case and you haven't ran your engine too much it is possible to put a new set of bearings in it and you'll be ready to go. But it is possible that you have spun a bearing and the crank would be ruined. Hope that's not where your knock is. Hope this helps, Jeff Horton
