From underneath. The whole K member has to be taken out. After thats done its a piece of cake. Jack the car way up and slide the engine out of the bottom of the car. This is a easier job if you have access to a lift.

where can i find a diagram and pics on all of this thanks

  • Anonymous Sep 13, 2010

I dont know about diagrams, but you might find good pics on Ls1tech.com. You might even get some diagrams. If that doesnt work you might be able to bring up a repair manual online with some diagrams and pics. Hope this helps as well. Thanks for the rating

Gear Jerking in Camaro z28

first of all you need to fix the motor mounts drive shaft hangers and the lower control arm bushings and if you still have a transmission problem . it is in the valve body in the transmission you need to bring it to a good transmission shopas this will be a major tranny overhaul

Overheating prob in chevy camaro z28 97

Check for obstruction in front of radiator/condenser that would cause loss of airflow through the core.Sometimes these cores get clogged with bugs or debris and airflow is deminished. The reason for overheat with A/C on is that the condenser adds to the heat in front of the radiator and if there is not enough airflow then the engine also runs hot because radiator can not be cooled sufficiently.
hope this helps

Serpentine belt

when they build a motor without a/c they sometimes move the drive components around.  Use a bit of string the measure the size needed and see if the belt matches up.  Why don't you want the a/c to work?
