I seriously doubt it has to do with the plugs having oil on them. Are you getting spark ? there are so many reasons a car wont start please try to be more specific.

my sunfire is doing the same thing...and our mechanic said something bout the pistons...you could always try the cheaper fix and just see if its a valve cover...otherwise its internally in your motor

My 1997 Geo Metro won't start. A friend mechanic charged the battery & put new sparks plugs & Firestone said it needs an air intake valve motor & it is sparking yellow and not blue

I think you can buy any thing on line but but has the air intake has to do with the spark I would check the compression first and go from there.

Oil fouling out spark plugs after running in my 1992 acura integra. I pulled the plugs and cleaned them and it starts up right away. I drive it, park it, but it won't start again. Oil is pumped into...

if oil is fouling the plug after vehicle has been standing for a period of time it is getting down through the valve seals into the cylinder, you will need to replace the valve seals & may be the valve guides as well,it might be cheaper to install a reconditioned cylinder head,if the plug is fouling up whilst driving for a period of time the problem is with the piston rings (mainly oil rings) & that means replacing the rings & possibly bearings as well......hope this helps......cheers

Think the oil pressure switch keeps the fuel pump running once started. Suggest replacing Oil pressure switch. And no it won't effect oil pressure reading when it goes bad. The switch is a safety device. When you roll it over and the oil pressure drops the switch cuts off the fuel pump. Neat huh? Need some good feedback Thanks!

2001 ford taurus with the 3.0 after sitting a few hours when i go to start will crank and crank and crank for what seems like ever, will start easily after that but when i go to start it for the first time...

Its not the oil, increasing temperature will thin out the oil. If it cranks easily but won't start it could be the spark plugs or the spark plug wires. When they heat up, especially if they are old, they won't perform well. Pull off one of the wires and hold it close to the plug, try to crank the engine and look for a spark. If it sparks them try removing a plug and check to see if it looks wet. If its bone dry it might not be getting fuel.
