98 Nissan maxima. Both headlights went out. Fuses seem to be good. What do I do?

To make it as simple as possible, you only need a (+ 12 volts) positive wire and a (- ground) to make any electrical circuit work. I would guess you have lost your power and the first suspect is the fuse. It is sometimes difficult to look at a fuse and determine its integrity. I would swap in a new fuse first. It is possible to have had both bulbs blow and if you have a test light or meter you can check power at the headlight receptacle. Depending on your expertise it boils down to basically you will have power at the light (bad bulbs ) or no power ( bad fuse or broken wire or headlight switch bad). Just remember when replacing fuses, it must be the correct amperage fuse. If its insufficient, it will immediately blow as soon as you turn on the headlights.
Hope this helps you some.

Headlights will not work which fuse is blown

Entertain the possibility that one of your lights was burned out already and when the second one went out, you assumed they both died at the same time. If that is not it, I would take a look at the light switch and its relay.
