2006 chevy colorado; babied at every turn; now the engine light comes on; we have it diagnosed; they replace a bad sensor part that tells the truck we are driving in high up hill mountains. NO still stalls; sputters horribly; jerks and engine light still on.

What was changed? MAP sensor? If car was "repaired" by a shop or dealer, they need to be told the repair did not fix the problem!!!

2006 chevy colorado fuel system diagram I need help diagnosing the problem of the gas smell coming from my truck. No leaks...but a very strong gasoline smell...please help me out!

The Chilton/Haynes repair manual we got for our 2004 Trailblazer has a fuel diagram. So I believe the same type manual for your Colorado should be no different as to information. Did find in research that there are plastic parts on the fuel lines that run under the air intake. Over time they become brittle due to engine heat since they are on top of engine but under the plastic air tube and are prone to leak over time. Not hard to fix, just a pain to remove the interfering parts.

My 2006 chevy colorado with a manual transmission has been running rough and the engine light comes on and off. When im going through my gears it vibirates and acts like it doesn't really want to go and it...

Hello: If the engine light is coming on the you need to get the code read to determine what is causing the light to come on. With the code information you can diagnsis the problem. Auto Zone , Advance Auto can read the code and tell you and they probably not charge you.

Gas cap off and engine light came on in 2006 Chevy Colorado. Replaced gas cap now how do I get check engine light off?

If all it was is that you did have it off it will reset by the 3rd drive cycle. It may take between 50 & 200 miles.

How do i change out the knock sensor on a 2006 chevy colorado

You didn't list your engine size so please pick the applicable to your motor size:

Removal & Installation 2.8L & 2.9L Engines To Remove:
  1. Lift the vehicle high enough to gain access to the knock sensor (KS) through the left front wheelhouse.
  2. Remove the left front wheel and wheelhouse liner.
Knock sensor (KS) (A), Engine harness (B), Knock sensor (KS) connector (C)

Rough idle

I had the same exact problem on my 2004 Colorado (3.5L). Cleaned the MAF sensor (with MAF sensor cleaner) and throttle body/plate - cleared it right up.
