The system may be out of fluid, The loss of fluid may be from a leaking clutch master cylinder or the clutch slave cylinder mounted on the bellhousing. The clutch master cylinder should be close to the brake master cylinder

No pressure in clutch pedal until pumped 12-15 times..then shifts fine...next day same thing pedal goes to floor and then gets pressure after pumped 12-15 times

You have air getting into the clutch hydraulic system, this is due to a faulty slave or master cylinder or both.

Clutch pedal retainer for a 2004 saturn ion

Your clutch pedal attaches directly to the master cyclinder. There is a ball on the end that comes through the firewall. It's made of plastic check that.

Ineedto know how to by-pass anti-theft passlock on my satun 2004 ion or how to re enter the code after you reset

The passlock light is a visual indication that something in the car's antitheft system is failing. In most GM cars and trucks there is a hidden system that most people are unaware even exists. From the moment you put your key in the ignition, there begins a constant line of communication between your key's security chip or transponder, to the ignition's lock cylinder, and then to the car's TDM (Theft Deterrent Module). These 3 parts are in CONSTANT communication. If the key is in the ignition, then these parts are sending signals to each other. The security light illuminates when that signal gets broken, even just for a second. When the signal breaks, the car misinterperates this as an attempt at theft and goes into antitheft mode. The car thinks its being stolen or hotwired because it is not getting that signal from YOUR specific key. This is why the security light turns on and shuts down your vehicle.
This link may help you find ways to bypass this or fix it yourself.

Clutch doesnt have resistance till about an inch or two off the floor.

check the linkage for any slack. if the clutch is very old, it might be time to replace it, at which time the mechanic would fix it up to where it will give resistance the whole way.

Clutch pedal has about 1/2 inch of play before engaging, from the floor. How can I adjust this?

there is a very small amount of adjustment on the rod which pushes in the master cylinder piston. what you are talking about however, the engagement point, is that your clutch pressure plate and disc need to be replaced. they are worn out and not releasing until maximum movement of the slave cylinder. this will not be cheap.

you have a clutch hydraulic problem. have the clutch master cylinder replaced and the linkage adjusted if neccessary. you will be money ahead to have them replace the slave cylinder at the same time.
