Sounds like your fuel filter might be plugged causing the engine shutdown.
sounds like the solenoid on the starter is sticking causing your starter to stay engaged and powered up. the starter will stay powered up and will continue to spin until the starter solenoid is disengaged.
one other area to look at is the ignition switch. if that is bad it will continue to send a power signal to the starter solenoid keeping it engaged. so, you may want try unplugging that first, while your starter is running. if continues to run, then i would say it is the starter solenoid and not the switch. good luck

My 1986 ford bronco 2 with a 2.9l v6 needed a brake master cylinder. i replaced it with a brand new one, and noticed that the base of the master cylinder, where it mounts to the brake booster, is leaking a...

You should not have any fluid leaking.
1.The new master cylinder may have been manufacturer incorrectly, but unlikely. 2.Did you reuse the fluid tank or did it come with a new one? If you re-installed old tank, seal may have not seated correctly. 3. Did you tighten the brake lines correctly? 4. It may be that there was fluid that leaking into the booster from the old cylinder, and that fluid is now coming out of the booster with use. One indication would be if the reservoir tank is showing any fluid drop. If it is the problem is 1,2, or 3 above. Let me know what you find out by leaving a comment.
I hope this helps. Feel free to comment or ask further questions.

Car will not start fual pump shut off swich is

ok so now check for spark by removing a spark plug wire and sticking a srcew driver into it and then putting it next to metal on engine but not touching have some one crank it over and watch the screw driver for spark. sounds like one of the two crucial elements is missing you have gas and now you need spark to run.

I have this junk that was starten and the eignation was not turnin over .then we dropped the gas tank thefuelpump was not lettin gas to the next line so we took care of that nasty job for a girl . he had...

The humming noise is from the fual pump. I had to change out 3 pumps before one would work. Put a pressue gage on the fual line to the carb and it should stay at +20 lbs for at least 1/2 day. Most likely the fual lines are ok and so is the fual filter. It is a very dangerous job to change out a fuel tank pump. I always have a machanic to the job. Think it over, safety first! And if the machanic installs a faulty pump then he will install another new one at no charge. Good Luck
