If your vehicle doesn't call for high test fuel ,why use it?
Gas treatment was a waste of money. That does nothing.
Now you have a check light on,go to a repair shop, familiar with your vehicles systems, and have it properly repaired.
Sounds as though you don't understand, the cost of professional auto repairs, and don't care for the hard working people in the auto industry.

This is a bit pf a custom car type lash up and untill you can get some local advice here dont use the car as the excess fuel will wash oil from the cylinder walls causing piston /and ring damage ,You need someone local who can sort out and re-map the fuel injection system for you just for starters,Nice try and do admire greatly your determination in making something work but as iam in spain iam not a lot of help on this matter also owing to europeon vehicle law i wouldnt be allowed to do this for a rad vehicle as it detract from the certificate of homoglonation so a non standard vehicle just isnt allowed ,cannot even change the back lights for a fancy one let alone a engine

Misfire and surging engine on climbing hills and overtaking on motorway

I assume you may have a check light on your dash,
if in fact you have a misfire

Problem #1-if you continue to drive any vehicle with
any check light on your dash & have not at least checked
for codes, to see what component in what system ,set the
light, you asking for possible damage down the road

If the check light is on steady you have one type of misfire
provided you have misfire codes stored
If the light is blinking ,stop using the car before you ruin the
exhaust converter

Ignition misfires are one issue
Hills & hot days are what promote them

Also hills are a good place to test & check out
a failing EGR Valve, easier to test if it has vacuum
hose on it.

May want to consider if the spark plugs are in the motor
over 3 years,front upstream O2 Sensors over 100,000
miles, gas filter 4 years old. Cover all the base preventative
maintenance, if necessary, then work on the current problems

Check fuel pressure with a gauge on engine

If you had work done recently, suspect sloppy job
& check air filter cover loose & things not put back

Test ,do not install one part after another

The so called tune-up, went by by, some 25 years ago
Only spark plugs left,so don't get misled into a dog &
pony act.

You have only the current issues diagnosed
Then you make the call on what gets replaced

Get back to us if things don't sound right

Ignition coils

You didn't put a problem in there,
you never got the bad coil or coils out.

If you went by some coil codes, that's why

You may have to walk a new coil, replacing the
old one & test drive 20 miles & spend a few days
doing so.

The Spark Plugs can't be over 3 years old or
50,000 miles & front O2 Sensors over 100,000 miles

I had just filled up about two days ago and didn't have this problem before. My truck is sluggish and I have to put my foot on the gas really hard to kick in the speed then it gets to going.Could bad...

Not the gas, never going to get any gas that will
ever be that bad, that you will notice anything

Have to go over entire vehicle until you find an issue

The days of break down & fix, have been over for 20 years

You drive all year & do not perform any checks or testing,
once or twice a year you got problems

No one will spend any money for no reason

No repair shop will have a clue what I'am talking about

It gets expensive when you ask a shop to solve any issue
They pick & choose what they want to do

They seldom just diagnose your drivability issues
You get all sorts of parts & so called tune-up non sense
that has nothing to with why your there

Good Luck

I have been having a major problem with my traction control system. It comes on all the time while im pressing the gas and turning and really its affecting my driving. could it be a bad sensor or something...

I find these questions amusing

It is a car,not a major problem

When you say all the time, drives you crazy

I have to ask---when are you going to part with
it & just get it repaired. Got to happen sometime

This is what I do

If I get any light on the dash & they have been
on ALL Vehicles for 30 years now,I check for
codes within a couple days, then start to figure out
the game plan on when & what to diagnose

If you get to 4 or 5 days or a week you stop using it,
period. Until it is resolved You have to commit to
a game plan each & every time or you will some day
do some damage to your vehicle

Testing is the ONLY way to figure out what your
Traction issues are

They are part of the ABS System

You didn't say you retrieved any codes yet
Always start by giving us any you may have

I have a 96 Camaro Z28,it hesitate and stalls from time to time,it may go 3 or 4 days before it does it again. When it stalls it would run bad the rpm would fluctuate up and down just sitting part while...

How about water or dirt in the gas? It sounds like when the tank gets low this happens, so you need to check the tank out and make sure you are not getting watered down gas. This is very common and would cause the symptoms you are describing. I have a 98 Z28, so let me know if there is anything more I can help you with.

My 2004 Lincoln ls has been acting up. First it was running rough so I changed coil on 4 and then 2 seven monthes later after which car ran great. Now on two occasions when triing to start alarm goes off...

I don't think going to AutoZone for codes is of much
value to anyone

Obviously your LS don't miss on 4 cyl or have 4 bad coils

You didn't need to replace any coils except the one that fails,
which is 1 or 2 a year on that car.

You most likely have one really bad coil that sets all kinds
of codes.

You can buy one new coil & walk it every couple days until
you get to the bad one or go to a repair shop with an oscilloscope
and the correct inductive coil adapter.

You need to use the correct OEM style plugs (NGK)
were the motorcraft mfg.

Check alternator output with a scope & make sure
the battery isn't more than 4 years old. Todays cars
are sensitive to voltage, current, resistance and grounds

Clean the MAF Sensor (crc maf cleaner)

At 100,000 miles replace front O2 Sensors

92 Honda accord ex D4 light/acceleration problem

Change your main relay assembly under the dash on drivers side. I was able to get my small hands under there and change mine out readily--not easy to get to as I didn't want to take the dash apart, but I got it done. If you have other problems after then find you a used TCU unit and change it out (passenger side where they put their feet, pull the carpet up, you will see easy, easily replaceable).
