What is a 0.060 gap seetting on a spark plug?

Just what it says. 60 one thousandth of an inch. You need a feeler gauge or wire gauge, to set them.

If your engine code is W, the gap should be .060
If your engine code is X, the gap should be .045

The engine code is the 8th digit in your VIN number

.060 (In thousandths of an inch) Caution! Gap is not adjustable on certain plug brands. Torque the plugs with a torque wrench no more that 15 ft lbs.

HOW BIG ARE THE GAPS SUPPOSED TO BE ON THE SPARK PLUGS ON A 1997 CHEVY LUMINA


Most engines have a .060" gap. The only one with another gap is the 3.4L engine which has a .046" gap.

Yes. On a stock 98 no less than .055" nor greater than .060", is acceptable.

look under the hood on the cover on the top of the raditor. there is a decal there and it has accessory belt routing and also the spark plug gap is listed there also.
