Hi the easiest way to find the thermostat on your car is to, locate the top water hose of the radiator, follow that to the engine, where it connects to the engine will be a small housing with 2 or 3 hex bolts, remove the housing and there you will find your thermostat...hope this helps

RADIATOR FAN NOT KICKING IN

You do not need a thermostat for the fan to work but you will need a thermostat for the engine not to over heat. Put simply the thermostat controls the flow of water through the radiator cores so that the heat in the water has a chance to transfer to the cores and fins and away.. NO thermostat =too fast water flow = hot engine.. Fans work off a temperature sensor which tells the CPU when to activate the relay to switch on the fan. Check out the circuit for the fan including the sensor ,fuses, relays and wiring, and fan . Fix it properly so that you can enjoy driving

Wher is the thermosat in 2005 GMC canyon pickup

Follow the lot hose to the drivers side of the engine. The thermostat is the part the hose is attached that is bolted to the engine block. You will get the thermostat housing assembly when you purchase the new one. Removing the drivers front wheel inner liner will help make the repair easier.

Were is the thermosat located

For the 3.0 ohv engine follow the upper hose the the housing on the intake manifold. It will be behind that housing. On the 3.0 DOHC engine. Follow the lower hose to the water outlet housing. The thermostat will be behind that housing.

Fan work new thermosat but still ni heat blowing

CHECK THE HIGHT OF THE HEATER MATRIX IN THE CAB , IF ITS HIGHER THAN THE FILLER/EXPANSION TANK. THEN ITS AN AIR LOCK, LOOK FOR THE HIGHEST PIPE AND SEE IF THERE IS A BLEED VALVE, IF NOT TAKE BOTH PIPES OFF THE MATRIX FEEDS AND FLUSH OUT TO SEE IF IT IS BLOCKED, AND RECONNECT LOWEST PIPE FIRST AND FILL SYSTYM TILL WATER APPEAR FROM TOP AND RECONNECT RUN MOTOR, AND KEEP TOPIN UP

I have a 2005 pontiac sunfire the car is exceeding normal level temperture to 90

Cooling system might need flushed. About $120 any car service center.

Step two

Is the car over heating if it has 60,000 or more miles you might need a water pump, or might need a thermosat or both. If you are going to flush the system put a water pump and thermosat in it. Removal of water pump and stat are easy just take a picture of it before you do it so you know where everything goes. Scale 1 - 10 I rate it a 4 for being difficult. If you can't do it yourself or some who knows what they are doing you might have to take it to service center which would cost about $300 - $400 dollars.
