The issue being that over time thru vibration and such one of these solder joints will fail (happened on or 1999) you can repair this though. You will have to remove all of the trim from around the driver's side dash board, this will include the trim towards the center of the dash. Once these pieces are remove you'll need to remove the gauge panel (I believe (4) allen head screws) carefully bring the panel and release the wire clip from it. Looking at the back of the panel, where the plug was, carefully with plenty of light look for one of the pins to have a failed solder joint. It will be very faint however the failed joint will be a fine dark line around the pin. To correct use a small soldering iron and reheat this solder until it wants to flow, let it cool and reassemble.
I hope this may have helped,
Tom
PS: I have helped several persons with this issue, please review my profile; good luck with it (also often times with this issue the ABS light stays on)

check the fuse block for a blown fuse, the one that controls dash gauges should be identified in the owner's manual.

Temperature sensor not working

If you are talking about the temp gauge on the dash, the gauges get power from the same source. If the gas gauge works, the problem could be the temp sensor on the engine block.

1982 chey van , none of the dash gauges work , have changed out gas tank sending unit , brown wire looks good , fus looks good

If none of the gauges work, there is a power problem.
The gas tank sender grounds the fuel gauge and the temp sender on the engine block grounds the temp gauge.
Could be a wiring harness issue or a problem with the printed circuit board too.

Gas and temperature guages don't work

Regarding the gauges problem on the Cavalier. If they work part-time, but the temp and fuel needles get into a "sword fight" this is due to bad stepper motors. These are available on eBay for about $25 for a set of 6. Very small motors and take a bit of soldering experience to install. Great video on YouTube regarding removal of dash as there are 3 screws hidden behind the glove box. Medium level of difficulty to pull the cluster. Likewise for dash. One man job. Standard hand tools and soldering iron required. About 3-5 hours depending on skill level.

Dash board gauges not working on voyager 2000

You need to check your main fuses under the hood first and then check them under the driver side dash board.

I have a 1996 plymouth voyeur .my dash won't work

There is a relay fuse under the hood. You want to check the relay fuse under the hood then check for a loose connector to the back of your dash. If these are good you'll need to take to someplace to have the ECM checked. This usually cost about $50.00
