There is no door adjustment usually needed. On these trucks the hinge pin bushings wear out. open your door slightly, then try picking up on it by grabbing the end of the door and pulling up. if you are able to move it up and down, you need new hing pins and bushings. they are about 8 bucks each (2 per door) and are found at your parts store in the Help! section of hardware. good Luck.

1989 chev blazer is it possible to adjust or by pass the heat actuator to get it to defrost mode

Consider just taking both heater hoses in the engine compartment and loop them together. This will bypass the heater coil and keep the heat out of the passengers zone.

Door adjust for 71 Chev C20

  • Open the door and locate the two hinges where the door pivots from the vehicle.
  • 2Look for any wear or bending on either hinge. The hinge that looks bent or otherwise damaged will be the one you want to adjust.
  • 3
Loosen the bolts with the socket wrench on the affected hinge just enough to where it could be moved with the pry bar.
  • 4Move the hinge forward or backward in small increments, then gently try to close the door to see if it is back in alignment. If it isn't, continue to move it either frontward or backward until the door closes securely and without slamming.

How can i align the headlamps for a 2003 chev. impala

Pull up to within 20 feet of a wall or garage door and adjust them using a "star" screwdriver. The adjustment screws should be located just above the headlight assembly. Simply watch the beams as you turn the screws either clockwise or counter clockwise. At 20 feet the beams should be roughly 3 feet off the ground. Hope this helps.

    New Headbolts are recommended

Long bolts are torqued to 46'lbs + 90 degrees.

Short bolts are torqued 43'lbs + 90 degrees.

Start in the center, and work to the edges, torquing the bolts in two stages.

    Rockers are torqued to 22'lbs.
