    thanks for your help,

Plugs, wires and rotor are are good.
It has been driven on a dusty road for the last few weeks.
How do I replace the fuel filter?
    Clean or replace idle jet?
Can you send me images? From a manual? An "exploded" parts view?
I put a detergent in the gas tank for cleaning injectors.

There a number of reasons an engine could experiance a rough idle. The first are that will need to be inspected are the spark plugs and all secondary ignition components as well.
Engine size and mileage? Recent service intervals?
Is there is a DTC (trouble code) or Check engine light that is lit?

Remove the intake hose to the throttle body, and start the engine. Spray inside and around the throttle body with an intake cleaner. Do not use Carb cleaner. There is a very good chance due to the dusty conditions that there is build up in the throttle housing orifice's and small passages. I still do not know what the engine size is or actual mileage?

Ok, 2.2 engine. I would recommend performing the previous procedure before suspecting or replacing any parts.

Also let me know if you have a diagnostic light or engine light on.

SOURCE: Idling Control Valve

If the check engen light is on, it's probly the idle air controll valve. The only way to know is to find a shop with an old scan tool (almost impossible). The controll valve is not servicable.

92 toyota celica whirling sound

Without hearing it, it is hard to tell. But, I would first be looking at the idler pulley bearing, they have been known to fail; and make noise. Remove the idler pulley, and spin it manually. If it feels rough, and makes any noise, it is bad.

1993 Toyota Celica Anti-freeze

A 50/50 mix will get you enough protection for all but probably the most extreme climates. You can go into just about any place that sells anti-freeze and get it already pre-mixed 50/50. Its actually better to do it that way because its precisely mixed and used pure water for the mix rather than tap water.

Rough Idle on 1984 Toyota Celica Supra

You said you replaced the plugs - did you use the toyota platinum plugs? I found out the hard way that even the platinum plugs from bosch or any other kind of platinum plug just doesn't work right. Yes, they are more expensive from toyota, but they can make a difference in the way the engine runs.
