The fuel filter on most Mazda cars can be located on a bracket in the left rear of the engine compartment, next to or beneath the brake master cylinder fluid reservoir or as part of the fuel pump assembly.
If this isn't your problem, please review my "no-start" tips at http://www.fixya.com/cars/r5821173-doesnt_car_start_gasoline_engines and let me know if you have questions.

1987 mazda bseries pickup wont start in the cold but will turn over. it has fuel and spark but it wont start even with the starter fluid. i have checked antifreeze oil and the connection to everything

what is the temp you are at ? -1-20 check the fuel line is feeding fuel. you may need to take the pipe off and use a syringe plunger see if the fuel can fun free. they put water in fuel ( fuel don't freeze but the water does) and this can freezes and not get through the filter. ice blocks it up. failing that try some easy start. or leave the engine over night with a few blankets over the engine . stops the engine freezing over. some nice thick one's this may help.

Check for spark at the sparkplug, to see if everything in the dist. is working right. And check the injector harness for something being pulled loose when the wires were jerked out.

Problem not starting intermently

A fuel pump going out can cause this problem. Have you change the fuel filter latley? As far as a miss fire. You need to find out what cylender, It could be a coil pack acting up. If it missfires you should have a code.Autozone or O'reillys will check it for free

My problem is my rpm its getting wild when i start my engine.. what seem the problem and i need solution thanks...

Problem with a good tuning of the engine. If the engine was not checked on the regular maintenance schedules then it is time you did all the required one for the clocked mileage or time.
Make sure that the oil, oil filter, fuel filter was changed. secondly check on the plugs, the Ht , the firing intensity, the fuel pressure and calibration. A code check is important if there is no result but the RPM going wild can be mainly related with poor timing- firing and valve- and fuel calibration.

My van wont start, it turns over but acts like it is not getting any fuel. Could it be fuel pump or filter?

did you check the spark if occur when cranking engine, if it have spark, direct fuel pump by shorting 30 and 87 pin off fuel pump relay and check if theres fuel go to fuel injectors, check for pressure, if no fuel, connect voltage directly to fuel pump assembly, if fuel turn s, check circuit, if no fuel goes, check the tank for empty fuel, if you have fuel change the fuel pump including fuel filter

Just before car broke down acted like it was starving for fuel. changed fuel filter, made sure fuel pump was coming on, made sure had fire still wont start what do you think

My best guess is the fuel pump. Even thogh the fuel pump is comming on it might not be putting out enough pressure. Spray some carb cleaner into the throttle valve in the engine, and try starting it. If it runs then you know its a fuel pump.

Need to know where the fuel filter is located please to replace

do you mean it wont start ? if it runs but feels like its low on fuer try running it ( not driving it ) with the fuel cap removed and see if this cures it the air vent maybe blocked and causing a vacume in the tank , hence the fuel will struggle to get to the engine , , worth a try
