Question about 1994 Chevrolet Corvette

1 Answer

My son lost both sets of keys to my 94' Corvette and can't find the key code. No one seems to know the key codes not even GM. What's the deal? Can't get it through the VIN # either. $500 or more to take it in to have it coded because there 15 different codes. Someone must know the codes. What does the code look like?

94 impala vats code

Gm garage has a tool called vats interogator. The only way I know to get key code. Unless you have the vin registration and title in your name. The GM dealer can retrieve this info for you.

How do I get replacment ignition and door keys for my 1989 Corvette?

Any hardware store can duplicate keys, lock smith in your area, big box store (the home improvement kind).

Should be pretty simple ... in my area it costs about $2.00 to duplicate a key.

Lost car keys and need key code to have keys remade.

Hello: Take proof of ownership and picture ID to a GM dealer/Cadillac dealer and they can get you the key codes. This will only work if none of the lock cylinders have been changed but you will not know that till you get the new keys. The dealer can make keys.

My son has lost the keys to the ingnition on our 1999 Olds Alero. Is there any way to get keys without replacing the ignition?

MAYBE communicate at gm costumer service and tell the vin number(serial number right on the dash you can see it throught the windshield at the left corner maybe they have a service for that and they will tell you the code to have the new key from the key specialist.

Lost my last igniton key

15 different coded keys. these are resistor pellets . ranging in different ohm values if you got a key cut that will turn the cylinder, try google ( passkey ii bypass ) there is a listing of all the ohms radio shack and purchase all of them $30 give or take, get to the two small orange wires around the lock cylinder and cut them close to the lock intall the resistors one at a time in place of where the lock would be ,until you hit the one that lets it stay cranked. no more resistor key needed
