How do I repair the wire from ignition to starter solenoid when no signal is transmitted?

The wire from the ignition switch doesn't go to the starter solenoid . The wire at the starter solenoid comes from the starter relay in the battery junction box under the hood ! Maybe you should take it to a ASE certified repair shop !

Go to an check the starter system circuit yourself if you don't believe me .

Starter turns but not enough to start

Check battery? If not battery, and starter is slow or sluggish, it may be the starter, How old is starter? If you have an auto electrical repair shop nearby, they can usually rebuild them for you cheaper than replacing it. If you can get to a auto repair shop they should be able to check battery and starter free of charge. some places charge $5.00 to $10.00 to check. still cheaper than buying the wrong item. Battery $60.00 to $120.00 Starter about the same. hope this helps!

Can't get the starter out pass the cat on my 1987 corvette as shown in repair manual

My manual (Chilton) says to remove the front starter support bracket and heat shield, loosen the starter bolts and lower the front end of the starter first. It comes out the front not the traditional back way. Hope this helps.

Starter spins but engine don't turn over

If you want to repair the starter yourself, you will need a bendix spring repair kit. All instructions should be included. If you take it to a repair shop, they will probably replace the whole starter.

Put new starter in, now when i reconnect the negative cable the car tries to start without turning the key. help

Disconnect the small terminal to the starter solenoid and reconnect the main battery cable, if the starter still tries to engage then you have a faulty starter solenoid and should take the starter back to where you brought it. Ask them to test/repair the starter and after it is repaired or replaced you shouldn't have that problem again.
