Not sure about your car, but I have never seen a power steering system that used any electric power. The pump is run off the belt. Are you having a power steering problem we can help you with?

Note the diagram. Also, if you have an owners manual for this vehicle, it may give you the location of fuses.

How do you reset the relay switch for seat on the driver side of 2006 chevy hhr

There is no 'reset'. There are fuses you can check. See your owner's manual to read through the fuse listing. Also be sure your wiring didn't become unplugged under your seat, as if something was lodged under the seat pulling on the wiring.

I have a link that explains how you may have blown a fuse while jump starting your HHR.

It states that using the junction box under the hood to jump start can blow your electronic power steering fuse. It says it is a 60 Amp fuse.

I hope this helps, if so let me know with some feedback please.

Thank you and good luck,

I have a 2006 Chevy HHR. My son jumped his car with it and my power steering quit. I can't find the owners manual and don't know where the fuse is located to check it. Could you help please?

Under the hood, on the Driver's side is the main fuse box. EPS fuse is #1 and is a 60A. Also, there is another 2A fuse located in the small fusebox on the inside, passenger side on the console (near firewall).

Usually, it is the 60A that is blown.

Why does 2006 chevy hhr power steering suddenly stop working?

There is a known issue with the HHR (and other GM products) Electric Power Steering. GM has recalled some vehicles.

If problem is intermittent then you need to talk to dealer. May need to replace power steering motor.

If all the time, may be blown fuse (#1, 60A underhood) or 2A under dash on passenger side of console.

Where do you add power steering fluid?

The HHR does not use power steering fluid. The power steering is strictly an electric motor attached to the steering column under the dash. If you are having problems, you may need to have the motor replaced.

However, before you do, check the following fuses:

Underhood fuse #1 - 60A
Inside console fuse #19 - 2A

Either with kill the steering and may have been blown if you (or an uninformed mechanic) have jumped the car incorrectly.

Can not find the Power steering fluid holder for the 2007 HHR . Was not giving a car manual and can't find were to check the fliud.

The 2007 HRR uses and electric power sterring and steering control. There is a fuse in the number 19. The floor console fuse block is located on the passenger’s side of the floor console behind the forward panel. The panel has four clips, one in each corner. Pull the panel to disconnect the four
clips, and access the fuses. Use the fuse puller to remove fuses. I do have the owners manual if you need it.
