My Isuzu Rodeo 1998 6cyl has a problem to start up, I have to try 2 or 3 times to start it, sometimes start up the ist time. 4 yrs ago I had the same problem, took it to the dealer they first replace the...

if you turn the key and nothing happens chances are that the starter is going out. I have a 98 also. Here is the problem there becomes a couple of bad spots on the starter and that is when it doesn't do anything. If you change it your self be prepaired to get really dirty. You must remove the exaust pipe comming from the manifold and if you can take off the bolts at your first union joint on the exaust great. If not you have to cut the bolts and then the starter will come right out and the new one goes in very easy. If you take it to a dealer you could also have them check the relay also.

I want to know where is the starter located in a izuzuz rodeo 1998

The starter is no the driver side, right above the exaust pipe. Just a hint if you have to replace the starter you have to remove the pipe to get it out and back in.
