The circuit breaker that is built in to the power window motor is weak and keeps cutting out.
When the window stops after a couple minutes it will move a bit again. That would be a faulty power window motor. You have to remove the complete window regulator system to change the motor.
There are 2 screws in the armrest by the door handle and plastic clips all around the door panel.
There is a hidden screw in behind the light at the back of the door panel if it has one.

I have a 2009 Expedition EL. The drivers side window is very slow going up and sometimes stops. It goes down just fine. What could be the problem?

Probably needs lubricating and possibly adjustment of window rails. You must remove inside door panel to gain access.

WHEN I ROLL UP THE DRIVER FRONT WINDOW IT GOES UP THEN ROLLS HALF WAY DOWN BY ITSELF

Hi there,

If manual window winder

Your driver's window glass may have come off the regulator mechanism.

If electric window control

The glass may have detached from the regulator or the regulator cable has unwound itself off the mechanism (ie tension during upward motion, but loose when motor stops winding).

Your driver's door panel will need to be removed to inspect your window regulator operation.

Change Power Windows motor 2000 Dodge Neon

you will have to remove the interior door trim to gain access to the inside of the door.
i am not sure of the setup in your door but if it is cable driven you may have to replace the whole winder mechanism as I think they come as a unit.
If it is pop riveted to the door panel you will have to drill the rivets out and replace with new ones
Have a good look or take a pic at how it is mounted b4 you start pulling it down

Driver window on 2000 s type jaguar off track

You will have to remove the screws to door panel, remove window and lock controls. Then gently pry the plastic studs out of the door and lift the panel up and off. You will now have access to track and window

Drivers door panel removal

The book says 1. remove power accesory switch panel by using suitable flat blade tool at front. 2. Disconnet electrical connections.
3. pry door handle plug by using small flat bladed tool
4.remove door trim handle mounting screws
5. remove door trim panel from retainers.Start at rear bottom corner and pry outward.
6. remove door panel.
KD does make a tool that will properly pry the door panel away from reainers. KD 3705 You might get by with a screwdriver.
One other thing you may need to have the window down to get the panel to come off. You will have to lift up on it once it is loose from the fastners.
Hope this helps you out.

1991 Nissan Maxima: Removal of front driver side door panel

This is out of my haynes manual
1 disconnect negative battery cable
2 on manual window equipped modesl remove the window crank using a hooked tool to remove the retainer clip.
3 on power window equipped models pry out the armrest switch control plate and disconnect the electrical connections
4 detach the armrest pull handle retaining screw then remove the inside door handle trim bezel
5 insert a wide putty knife, a thin screwdriver or a special trim panel removal tool between the trim panel and the head of the retaining clip to disengage the door panel retaining clips.then remove the remaining door panel retaining screws at the lower edge of the door panel.
6 once all of the clips are screws are disengage detach the trim panel disconnect any electrical connectors and remoe the trim panel from the vehicle by gently pulling it up and out.
7 for access to the inner door remove the door panel support bracket then peel back the watershield taking care not to tear it. it install the trim panel first press the watershield back into place. if necessary add more sealant to hold it in place.
8 installation is the reverse of removal

Front passenger window does not work

sounds like bad regulator, pull your door panel apart and it is the part that goes onto the motor. long bow shaped thing with cable attached. pop out rivets, (I think 3 rivets) and on the upper side there are 2 nuts that have to be removed. then wiggle it around till you can get it out of the biggest hole in door. Good Luck.

2004 f150 supercrew driver's side front window.

Hey Ford 4 Life!

Sounds like either the glass has separated from the bottom edge mounting frame and has slipped down into the door independent of the mechanism, or the bottom edge mounting frame has disattached from the rest of the lift mechanism.

Try this: Power the window mechanism to the full down position. Then try and retrieve the glass from within the door, and by hand move the glass within the guide grooves to the fully raised position. Now whileholding the glass in that position power the lift mechanism up all the way. If it catches properly, this will hold the window closed.

But to really fix the problem will involve removing the door panel to gain access (limited though it be) to the glass, mounting frame and lift mechanism. This area is a little tricky, but most auto glass shops can fix this easily (and cheaply!) as they have the tools and the expertise...

Hope this is a hlp and good luck!
