I have honda accord 1993 SE.White smoke out of exhuast while i accelerate hard around 4 to 6 rpm.can any1 help me out.

White smoke is usually burnt water.
Check your radiator water level, if it is down, check for a blown head casket in your engine e.g.(water in the engine oil, or oil in the radiator water) brown froth on filler caps.

White smoke from exhuast, multiple misfires

White smoke indicates water. If combined with misfires it looks like a broken head gasket or water in the gasoline. Check, when cold and just started if the coolant in the radiator burbs exhaust gas... Also check if the oil is clear and not milky, another indication of water in the oild and also points to a broken head gasket.

Car over heats both fans working and i have a new thermostat.Even checked water pump to make sure it's ok. very frustrating1!!!!!

Flush coolant system out. If this does'nt help check for white smoke coming out of exhuast while its running.White smoke from exhuast would mean that coolant is getting into one or more of the cylinders, which would mean more than likely a blown head gasket.A blown head gasket would cause it to over heat.If you are loosing coolant and don't no where its going would be good sign that its blown. You would need to proform a leak down test on each cylinder this would let you known which cylinder is the problem.

My bmw x5 is smoking and loosing power any ideas???

Has the car overheated recently or in the past? If you are seeing white smoke from the exhuast you may have a cracked cylinder head or blown head gasket. If you are seeing white smoke from the exhaust, check the oil for signs of coolant (milky brown oil color or any foamy white on the dipstick) Also check you coolant level to see if it is lower than normal. If the smoke you are seeing is black you should also check you oil level. (could be a burned valve).

Miss while idle &running

If ignition is good you may have low compression on one or more cylinders. Have a compression test taken on all cylinders

89 mighty max, has white smoke while accelerating, starts fine and idels good....what could be the problem?

White smoke during acceleration is usually the result of a "blown" head gasket. Antifreeze getting into the cylinder is the cause of the white smoke. Check the coolant level, if it's low you have the problem.

Backfiring, rough idel

I would check the exhaust pipe a little closewr. White smoke can also mean a blown head gasket. Check the tail pipe to see if moisture is present. Also check coolant level. A blown head gasket can also cause related problems.
