Question about 1995 Jeep Cherokee
Most times that problem can be traced to a bad sending unit inside the tank.(requires tank and fuel pump assembly be removed) If you are getting a good connection at the harness, that's the next place I'd look.(the feed side of the harness should have one terminal that is sending a pulse signal to the tank...check with a normal volt meter, not digital) Otherwise the problem is in the gauge itself.
That requires you to remove the gauges from the dashboard in order to fix (replace) it.
