Question about 2002 Chrysler Sebring

Open Question

How do I repair the horn in my 2002 Sebring? I know it's under the headlights, but what does one look like. It looks like my horns aren't even there.

FIrst off the horn's ground works through the steering wheel,so the wire is bare or the end is broken and grounding in a place where it should not. You will have to check the wires for the horn from the fuse box up to the wheel.
your power feed to the headlights and the door locks has an open ( the power is not connected somewhere ) Perform a wiggle test turn on the headlights and lift the hood, find the power distribution box and begin to wiggle the wire harness.Sometimes the chrysler fuse box under the hood get loose inside the power distribution box,it will have to be broken down all the way to the heavy wires comming out of hte box,you can tighten these connections your self.

SOURCE: Horn stopped working

HORN CIRCUIT RUNS THROUGH AIRBAG "CLOCKSPRING". THIS CLOCKSPRING IS A ROTATING DEVICE THAT HAS A SPIRAL CABLE INSIDE THAT FLEXES AS YOU TURN THE STEERING WHEEL. THE PROBLEM AFFECTS THE CRUISE CONTROL SOMETIMES AND THE AIRBAG LIGHT MAY STAY ON ALSO. ONE OR MORE FUNCTIONS MAY BE AFFECTED OR JUST A SINGLE CIRCUIT(HORN). THE PROBLEM AREA WILL BE FROM THE STEERING WHEEL DOWN(MOST LIKELY THE CLOCKSPRING) HAVE YOUR DEALERSHIP RUN THE VIN NUMBER THROUGH THEIR SYSTEM AND SEE IF THERE ARE ANY RECALLS CONCERNING THIS. HOPE THIS HELPS YOU!!

How do I find the horn under the hood:

Horn is under the front headlight light, which would have to be removed to access or pull the front wheel well liners out and look in just below the running lights. I believe 2 horns.

Where is the horn on my 2012 ford focus?

First.. check the horn fuse under the hood (see owner's manual for fuse location).. Second, check the horn connection--- the ground is unlikely, but possible, rather, on the front passenger side of the car, from the top, look down below the headlight, and beside the radiator, and you will see the horn assembly... The connection is at the bottom of the horn--- mine looked fine, but still did not work, even though I could hear the relay click when I hit the horn button in the car--- I placed a crowbar under the connector and pulled up slightly to reseat it. This was indeed the issue and the horn works again. If you don't hear the relay click when you hit the horn (or panic) button, try getting it from the dealer and replacing it (under five bucks), and the relay is also in the fuse box under the hood (beside the battery)... You will need the code on the relay as it is not in the system yet, as of November 2014... Good luck!

Can you tell me where the horn is located on a 2002 Chrysler Sebring GTC convertible with a 2.7 v6? Just purchased and horn does not work. Relay does click when button is pushed. See an empty bracket...

The horn should be located in front of your radiator but behind your grill. Probably bolted to an arm that holds it out towards the middle of the grill. You can probably see it if you look inside the grill.

Wheres my horn located need to replace it

  • Locate the original manufacturer's horns by looking under the hood.the most likely location is under the passenger side headlight.
  • Remove the passenger headlight. Unscrew two nuts on each side of the headlight with a socket wrench and remove it to expose the horns. Loosen the mounting bolt for the old horns with a socket wrench and unplug the power connectors. Remove the two horns.
  • Mount the new horns with the attachments that came in the kit. You should be able to simply mount the new horns in the old brackets if your kit is a direct factory replacement. Some custom horn kits include air compressors that may require you to install the horns in a non-standard location.
  • Plug the old wiring harnesses into the new horns if they are compatible to retain the factory wiring. Some aftermarket horn kits may include a custom wiring harness that you will need to connect to your car's original wiring using a wire/crimper splitter.
  • Test the new horns to ensure they work. Be aware that horns that use a compressor will be extremely loud.

The horn on my 2006 sebring is going out. Is this a major fix?

It is located behind the right headlight assembly, remove that, one mounting bolt, and wiring harness, and it's out.
If you need anything else, let me know.
