The window need to be lowered to get to bolts that hold it to regulator, then pull glass all the way up and wedge it there, next is to remove all the bolts securing the regulator to door, now work regulator out and replace the motor, with regulator out remove the wedge tilt glass until you are able to get it on the front and rear track ,on track now pull window back up and wedge it.install regulator and bolt it up to door, move regulator with switch to line up bolts to attach glass, now lower glass onto regulator arms and tighten, hope this helps.

2003 nissan maxima power window does not work and power doors

I'm assuming that you have taken the window motor and regulator loose from the window track? How do you know for sure the motor and regulator are good? If your sure then the problem is probably the window needs to be adjusted in it's track..a binding problem. And the power locks sounds like faulty servos at whichever door isn't working. Sometimes you can take the servos off and spray them w/ wd-40 or liquid wrench and free them up.

The driver side window of my 2004 Nissan Maxima just slid down in the door panel. I managed to pull it all the way back up. Also, before the window fell when I pushed the switch I could hear the motor...

Your window is probably still on track but the window regulator is shot and will need to be replaced if the glass moves freely and the motor spins without moving the glass.

Window on passenger side of my 1995 nissan maxima won't go up. all the other windows are working. what could the problem be? thanks onno ihns

If it makes a sound when you try to roll it up then it isn't the motor. If thats the case the window probably fell off the window regulator track. To fix it you have to take off the door panel and put the window back in the track.
If you don't hear a sound when you try to roll it up it is most likely the window regulator motor. In that case you can buy a replacement online at a place like rockauto.com or go to a junk yard to get it cheaper.
More unlikely problems could be the electrical wiring is messed up somewhere in the car or the master window switch is out.

How do you get the driver's door latch out past the window guide?

Remove all screws around the outer edge of the door panel. Carefully pry off the decorative cover behind the door handle and remove the torix screw. Lift up firmly on the door panel to remove. To reinstall, line up molded plastic hooks on back of door panel with notches in the door, push down to secure, reinstall torix screw, decorative cover and screws.
Also before you lift away the panel, you'll need to undo the electrical connectors for the power window and door locks

It is best to get the whole power window regulator assembly from the junkyard, which includes the power window motor. Cost should be no more than $40. Remove interior door trim panel by removing all screws and pulling up on the door panel. Unbolt existing window regulator assembly and slide guides from aluminum window track (you will have to uncrimp one end of track). Installation is the reverse of removal (remember to recrimp aluminum window track after reassembly). I did this repair in 45 minutes, power window worked like new. Good Luck!

My passenger window is stuck up and my 2 back windows fall down and wont roll up

The regulators need replaced in the back ones the front one could be a window motor or a bad switch. Unplug the window motors and hook them up directly to a battery supply of 12 volt power and see if they go up and down. If the motor runs and the track doesnt the cable is broken. If the front window motor doesnt move replace the regulator and motor assembly

Drivers side door will not go up or down; window is off track and door will not open

Hello. You have two choices here on how to proceed. Often when this occurs, it is a sign that the window motor and the track inside that door are on their "last legs" This assembly is called the power window regulator and it can be found on the net for about $75.00 So, you may either put the window back in the track and hope for the best or you may choose to replace the power window motor and the track, which comes as one unit called a driver's side door power window assembly. Either way, you have to remove the inner door panel to expose the track and the motor and the glass.

Cable fell off track

You will need to Remove the Door Panel. Look for Screws and Screw Hole Covers first. Start at the Bottom of the Panel and work your way up. There are Holes in the Door Behind this that will allow Access to the Window and Components. Just look and see if the Glass is Off Track. If it is Use Clear Silicone and Reinsert the Glass. Roll it up all the Way and wait 24 hour or more for it to Dry before you roll it down again. If it is a Belt or something, You will be able to see it. If it is gone, Reach down inside the Door at the Bottom and Locate it.

1990 maxima Drivers side window, will power down but won't go back up

Check the cable that lifts the window. If the cable is frayed or twisted and stuck the window will not work.

If this is the case the window regulator assembly must be replaced. It contains the bracked and cables that operate the window. It cost about $100.

I replaced all four on my 1990 maxima.
